First time ever the elite 8 will not feature a 1 seed.

Guaranteed that one finalist is not ranked in the top 10, 13 is the highest rank left of the 5 possible finalists.

I play in two pools, one for money, one for shits and giggles; in the money pool, IF Texas wins, I'll be 2-6 in the elite 8, UConn and Texas and if not, 1-7.

I'm 0-4 in the final four.

I think they need to add more time outs and commercials to these games, especially when a team is losing by double digits with less than 2:00 to go.

I'm dancing on the grave of the Nate Oats clownshow, and as noted last week Sampson had a loser attitude whining about the "home game" Auburn was getting in the second round. Didn't behave like a #1.

The final 8 is going to be about what you might see in a typical Battle 4 Atlantis or Maui Invitational field. Probably not quite as good.

Texas is likely screwed. They’re playing out of control and Disu is out of the game and in a boot so probably the tourney. Rice is in foul trouble and Carr is like a squirrel tonight.

I hate their offense flow. Hate. It’s reckless and no control at all. Carr playing hero ball is not a wining strategy.

Defense playing great is keeping the mess by if Xavier starts shouting half decently I fear bad things.
I'd rather be up 10 ugly, than down 10 beautiful.

Some similarities of this Creighton team with Butler of old, no? With 55 with the Hayward role.

With Disu hurt, UConn has to be the fairly overwhelming favorite to cut the nets down?

So the Final 4 favorites as of now are Kansas St, UConn, Creighton and Miami. That has to be, by a wide margin, the worst Final 4 ever

I can't believe I picked X for the Final Four, throwback to Sean Miller's first stint at X. Coming up short in the second weekend.

Texas was out of control for about the first 15 minutes on offense but their guards put on a clinic and just embarrassed Xavier’s all night. The defense was more handsy than a high school prom night. Tremendous effort. And without Disu, who has been their best player for three weeks. On to Miami.

I understand that the transfer portal and everything have altered the game in a major way, and made some of the bigger teams susceptible to upsets, but god damn, I think this is a great, exciting product, and has greatly enhanced an already incredible concept in the NCAA Tournament.

I'm very much a casual CBB fan, but what I think is really great about it is the parity and egalitarian nature of who can actually win. No sport I follow has as many viable teams that can realistically believe in winning a title in any given season. College football is a complete joke in that regard. I just think it's fantastic that we head into an Elite 8 with so many different schools and programs with a puncher's chance of winning the whole thing. We've got teams from the PNW, Southern California, New England, Florida, Texas and Nebraska. Teams from small catholic schools, traditional athletic powerhouses and big schools that have never won anything. Teams from six different conferences, and none from the Big 10 or the SEC, the powerhouses of college sports that threaten to completely alter college sports from the way we know it.

I love that all these teams have a shot, I love that kids from unknown programs get a chance to shine, and I love that CBB still represents a lot of the goodness of college sports.
