Is it safe to admit Brees is no longer close to elite, and probably not even top 10 any more? Nothing specific to tonight just a general thought
I don't think so. Look at the rest of the team. How many games would they win with, I dunno, Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB? I don't think he's in his prime anymore, but I think the larger issue is the lack of surrounding talent. The defense is probably the worst in the league, the interior OL has taken a massive hit from where it was a few seasons ago, and the skill players are pretty mediocre.

Now is the time to watch this game. Lions with a big lead in the 4th quarter on the road. Should be a good mixture of Lions incompetence and some kind of referee blunder.

It does have that feeling.

I was debating whether going for two makes sense right there, in that you know what you need to do depending on whether you make it. But I guess it also is still kind of early.
