The Bengals OL is a tire fire.

Scratch that. Black smoke from a tire fire would open up more holes than this OL.

Bengals run D:

Vs Min: 22 attempts, 67 yards, 3.0 yards per carry.
At Bears: 34 attempts, 123 yards, 3.6 yards per carry.
At Steelers: 15 attempts, 45 yards, 3.0 yards per carry.

Tonight: 19 attempts, 113 yards, 5.9 yards per carry. Are you fucking kidding me? To the Jags?

Well one thing.
Those other 3 have QBs who are... not gonna run, at all.

Minus Fields who played half the game for Chicago. Taking out Lawrence then Robinson is averaging over 5 yards a pop. Ok. taking a walk. It feels like it's over but stranger things have happened. I thought the Bengals prime time curse ended when Dalton got out of town.

Just for shits and giggles Justin Fields was 10 for 31 against them for 3.1 yards per carry :(

Like the GFI call, but it’s a major disadvantage to be unable to take a snap under center and force the defense to defend against the QB sneak.

Thursday games are a major wildcard with mediocre teams. Usually I defer to home teams in those spots so this is pretty nuts.

Letting Burrow do that sneak on his knee is insanely bad coaching.

I guess things could be worse for CIN. It could be 21-0. Jaguars had their best first half. Cincinnati gets the ball back. Still feeling like cheeks about that start though.

Give Burrow time and he is easily a top 10 QB in this league right now, with a ceiling of top 3.

Top 3 in a league with Mahomes, Brady, Wilson, Rodgers, Allen?
Ceiling = not this season. But yes to Allen, Wilson, and Mahomes 2-3 years from now. He's "football smarter" than all 3 of them, imo.

That's a whole lot of projection on not a whole lot of evidence. The guy hasn't been a top 20 QB yet and you're saying that he'd rise 10 spots if he got a bit better blocking?

His ceiling is really high( top 5-10 to me), but he's still a young raw QB who has a lot of flaws

Penalties like that fucking suck (even though it didn't matter).

Competent run blocking by the OL+TE is strange to watch after the Pats games this season.

"A bit" better? Have you watched this shitshow O-Line the last 2 years?

His ceiling is really high( top 5-10 to me),
So we agree he has a very high ceiling

but he's still a young raw QB who has a lot of flaws
Aren't they all.

This isn't a winnable argument, especially when people intentionally misinterpret what "ceiling" means in terms of temporal proximity (not saying you're doing that, CD). I think Burrow is a singluar talent and leader of men, and have thought so since he was 15.

Running another QB sneak on his knee should be a fireable offense.

I hate when a RB has a great tough run to the 6in line, and you don't just give it to him again

Shoulder to shoulder doesn't matter when you're dropping your shoulder into a guy who slid.

All 3 of those plays were penalties. 2 called then picked up.

Also, Tavon Austin is bad, stop trying to make it happen
