Random thought as I was reading about Cook: when a team has two really good RBs like MIN does, why not use them both instead of constantly running Cook into the ground? It's not like Mattison hasn't shown he can be as productive whenever he fills in.
typically Minn substitutes Mattisom in when cook is hurt but Cook is such a dynamic player as bother a runner a a pass catcher that they rely on him when he’s healthy. Mattison is a nice backup but he isn’t the kind of dynamic threat that Cook is. That’s my take on it anyway.

Patterson looks like prime Barry Sanders when he touches the ball.

And he's on the field for like 35% of Atlanta's snaps. Atlanta is 1-3.

Meanwhile they let it get to 4th and 1 from 2nd and short because god forbid you keep running the ball against a poor run D with your top two wide receivers out. And on cue there is a trick play! Brilliant, can't believe this team is bad!

And the trick play results in a concussion for Patterson. Or at least he's being evaluated for it.

Great coaching. Following that, Mike Davis gets shut down and then shut down again.

He’s had a total of 428 touches in 131 career games for 5 different teams across 9 seasons (including this one). It’s puzzling, because I’m with you — he is special when he touches the ball. I get that he’d break down quickly if you fed him 20 times a game, but I can’t believe his durability limits him to 3-4 touches.

Every time I see an ad for a CBS show it looks like the worst thing ever put on screen and yet these shows air forever. Not for me I guess.

It is funny. Cordarrelle is 5 for 30, with 2 catches for 30. Mike Davis is 5 for 16.

I love how teams play the bad players as much as the good players. This is the Latavius Murry conundrum with Alvin Kamara in NO.

Kyle Pitts is putting up a game thus far.

And another laughable roughing the passer. I am not sure what the defense is supposed to do.

Patterson should list himself as a TE. This wow, Pitts is such a good TE is the dumbest narrative going. He is a wideout.

This game is over

The Jets are last in the league is first quarter points, yards, first downs, and time of possession.

That is tough.

With the obvious caveat that it's very early and the team around him is bad, I'm not betting on Zach Wilson's future in this league until he's traded to Carolina.

Is there a worse play in football than fumbling in the red zone on a play where you’ve already secured the first down?

How does he bounce that pass? I mean, no pressure, no defender near receiver, and it bounces.

Jets D has been ok this year. Falcons offense looks good to me and them being 1-3 seems dumb. One of the few teams I have seen very little of so I don’t know what the deal is.

Jets fan just palming that dude's head next to him. What an a-hole. Adrian Beltre woulda tossed him five rows down.

I’m not that impressed with Smith time management there. Falcons should have been playing for the TD.

It was 4th down. Unless you're saying they should have gone for it on 4th down with 25 seconds left, instead of running down the clock and kicking a field goal as time expired?

No, I’m talking about the entire drive. It was played like they were going for the FG the whole time.

Eh, maybe. Ryan threw a few balls deeper downfield that were dropped or were off by a little. You're right that maybe the 3rd down play should have tried to move the chains instead of only gaining a couple yards (even though I'm pretty sure Pitts was never actually down).

DK Metcalf should say he is a TE. He will never pass Jerry Rice as a receiver but he would be the best pass catching TE ever.
