Shhh!No thread? We have an interesting ManU-HUD score right now.
I would put money on Liverpool as they're the far superior team. But still, going to be a fun week, and then there's the whole Wagner/Klopp thing...That was an incredible match. Huddersfield go to Anfield next, I would put money on Liverpool as I think Huddersfield will be completely emotionally spent after this one.
Recent promotees Burney and Watford also look good. The success of the promoted teams has been one of the big surprises this year for me. Most people figured Newcastle would be decent, but Huddersfield and Brighton are in the top 12 right now. That's putting a lot of pressure on more established sides to avoid a relegation fight.
Honestly, I thought at least two would stay up. The 8th place team in EPL last year had 46 pts; I think there were a lot of bad EPL teams last season but only 3 could be relegated. (Those three are 13th, 14th, and 23rd in the Championship, Sunderland's in relegation zone again.) All three promoted teams have solid managers and Brighton and Newcastle were a step above Championship competition last season. It's early and I think one of Huddersfield or Brighton will fade but I wouldn't be suprised if they both stay up.The success of the promoted teams has been one of the big surprises this year for me. As he should be. After the lineup construction and tactics problems became obvious, he needed to act decisively in putting together the teams best XI and instilling an identity. He failed miserably.P45 getting printed as we speak. Koeman would not have been on my list of managers not to make it to Christmas, but he's a dead man walking now, surely.
Meanwhile, Matip just bitches about offside.Good decision by Mignolet... Lovren also standing still didn't help
I hate seeing that kind of thing. I don't expect players to be intelligent but in terms of footballing intelligence i think that's basic stuff...and you see it all the time. Celtic do it in Europe a lot.Why head it back into play, just head it behind. Amateur hour.
