Ovechkin injures knee at World Championships

Haven't you guys heard? Russian machine never break.
 
Ovechkin is perpetually banged up. He played the NHL playoffs with a broken foot and then decided to join Russia in the World Championships one year. It's pretty ridiculous (knock on wood) how durable he's been given his style of play. Is there another current NHLer who plays similar minutes, plays so physical, and takes as much of a beating as Ovechkin without ever getting too hurt?
 
Ovechkin has missed four or fewer games in 8 of 9 NHL seasons. In his only season during which he missed more than four games, Ovechkin still played 72 games and won the Lindsay Award. In fact, four of the 10 games he missed that season were due to suspension, not even injury.
