Just want to take this opportunity to remind everyone, just once more, that the literal translation of his name is "Thank You Cleveland"

Yeah, just from reading the draft profile, he's definitely not here as Chung or McCourty help. A corner, not a safety, by experience and skill set. Intriguing signing for down the line?

I remember being surprised the Pats passed on adding a cornerback for much of the draft this year, but it seems clear now that they liked a lot of the late-round / UDFA options. If someone had snagged Roberts before they picked in the 7th, they probably would have taken Coleman or Hill or someone.

The draft was considered weak for CBs, but there are quite a few contributing as rookies: pretty much all the first-rounders, second-rounders Eric Rowe in Philly and Ronald Darby in Buffalo, and even late-round / UDFAs like Bryce Callahan in Chicago and Quandre Diggs in Detroit. At the risk of going off on a tangent, it seems like teams are willing to "pay" for height and 40 time and the guys who are sub-6'0" with 4.5-something 40-times can be pretty good values.

From some of the writeups listed above, he sounds like an ideal slot CB. Doesn't have the size to match up with the Marshalls and Deckers of the world on the outside but can probably hold his own against TY Hilton type receivers.

I do like the mentions that he is a good, instinctual blitzer and is pretty good in support in the run game.

His draft profile from NFL.com lists a lot to be excited about but also mentions that he has trouble turning his head for INTs, drew a lot of flags in college and has a domestic violence arrest. It's a game thread trifecta!
