Unfortunately, his release has always come too slowly...Harry apparently spent the whole practice working with the scout team WRs. I look forward to his release.

I heard he went 9-14 with 1 TD and 1 INTI'd love to see the film of Mac out there by himself, drilling play calls and running through the offense with no one around.
As much as I love that David Carr photoshop, I'm not sure what parallel you're drawing. Is the argument that Mac has no talent around him? Because he has plenty, at both the line and skill positions even if the latter is mostly not top end talent.I'd love to see the film of Mac out there by himself, drilling play calls and running through the offense with no one around.
Brings to mind that classic photoshop of David Carr during his rookie season without an O-line
No, Mac was running through plays BY HIMSELF with no one else aroundAs much as I love that David Carr photoshop, I'm not sure what parallel you're drawing. I don't really get all the snippiness here. It's June, guys are sloooowly getting back into shape. Would you rather be debating how many more masseuses our QB may have assaulted?
So it is, according to the Howe tweet I myself posted. No, Mac was running through plays BY HIMSELF with no one else around
Why are we conflating minicamp stats with impressions? Jones taking a more proactive role and going out of his way to show guys precisely what he wants and how routes should be run is meaningful information. Talking about how he went 8 for 11 in 7 on 7's or whatever isn't.Jones channeling his inner Brady today

And for those who like to shit on minicamp stats/impressions, to me its very important that Jones take ownership of the offense and be the "expert" on it. That's what Brady learned to do over the years and a large part of why he was so successful.
You got to get internet access, man. The internet is taking the world by storm!I live near Rochester, NY, so I don't see most of the Boston media reports. This week, however, I'm visiting my family in New England, and so I picked up the Boston Globe this morning to read with breakfast. In his column today, Ben Volin complains that the Patriots staff won't tell him who will be calling the offensive plays. He warns ominously that if the team's offense sputters this season (but, of course, he is really implying "WHEN the team's offense sputters"), we can all blame Belichick for not hiring a traditional offensive coordinator.
I would like to thank all the posters here at SoSH for providing me with such excellent coverage of the NFL and the Patriots, so that I don't have to rely on writers such as Volin for basic (and not so basic) information. I appreciate your insights, and enjoy hearing the reasons behind your praise and criticism. Please keep up the good work!
