People who think they are horrible owners have never experienced horrible ownership. There have been plenty of mistakes, and if they don’t start fixing those mistakes yea, I get it.

I caught some "insightful" comments from Chris Curtis on WEEI this morning, making points such as:

1) Red Sox should have gone after Yamamoto the same way they landed Matsuzaka. [No, Matsuzaka had no say in selecting a MLB team back then. His only choice was to sign with the MLB team that put in the winning bid (Sox) or stay in Japan.]

2) John Henry should be all over using deferred money in contracts as it won't come out of his hide since it will be paid long after he has sold the team. [No, the deferred money (in current dollars) is put into escrow upfront while the player is playing.]
