It’s kind of true. Dusty was there for…

Hank Aaron hitting 715
Reggie Jackson’s three HR in the World Series
Steve Bartman
Halladays no-hitter
Now the second no hitter in World Series history
He was the Giants hitting coach for the earthquake series

wiki: It is believed that Baker played an integral part in the first-ever high five, which occurred between Baker and Dodgers teammate Glenn Burke on October 2, 1977, at Dodger Stadium, a story featured in the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary The High Five (2014)

I now see you are a pessimistic person by nature, so I will take your dire predictions in V&N with that grain of salt. However, you did say "might" so you're saying there's a chance, I guess.
Absolutely - but as we know if Houston gets hot they’re virtually unbeatable. Today is a Philadelphia bullpen game which is not good for their chances to win tonight imo, then they go back to Houston. Tough sledding, but they have “it” so hope they can do the fairly unimaginable. Go Phillies!

So what gets more viewership in Philly -- Game 5 or Eagles/Texans?

Syndergard vs Verlander is the most exciting matchup of 2016.
I used to rent an apartment on 45th and Chester in Philly in the house of a 90 year old guy who told me he used to play cards with Howard Ehmke. Connie Mack named the journeyman Ehmke as a surprise Game 1 starter in the 1929 World Series, and he delivered this:

1929 World Series Game 1, Philadelphia Athletics vs Chicago Cubs: October 8, 1929 | Baseball-Reference.com

The old guy said that Ehmke would brag, "Connie Mack told me, "Howard, whatever else you do in life, know that for one day you were the best pitcher I ever saw.""

I'm hoping someday Noah Syndergaard will be telling a similar story about his effort tonight.

I’m waiting for him to fall off the ATV and get run over by the Phanatic. This can’t be safe.

The cradle of the game.

Wow, great story.
