Okay, it's just that a lot of people conflate "best for the team" with "what will likely get you the best on field results" and I believe that Bill makes the vast majority of his decisions with the former on his mind, but not necessarily the latter (sitting Welker and Butler come to mind). I guess it's the difference between short term and long term interests.

I'll skip the Butler thing as an obvious case of Bill doing what he thought was best for the team that day and some of us are just choosing to call him a liar I guess.

But if your point on Welker is that sitting him for a series to show that Bill holds everyone to the same rules reduced our chances for that one game and improved them for subsequent super bowl wins, no argument here.

Fwiw, I think that Bill is mostly looking at this year as always. And like prior years he doesn't quite GFIN as much as some people want. But it seems crazy to suggest (not you, but some) that Bill has some agenda besides winning the super bowl this year. He just spent the GDP of New Zealand in a single offseason. Seems pretty obvious that winning this year is a priority.

I mean, I literally said the Welker and Butler situations were Bill prioritizing the team in detriment of immediate on field results. My point was that sometimes people conflate the two concepts, which I thought you might have been doing but then realized you weren't. I agree with you.
