Icecoast.
Mostly NH/VT. I am lucky to get out a few times each season and as I get older realizing I'm happier sticking with the smaller, less crowded spots. My brother has a place near Stratton so I usually get there once a year as my splurge (which is still pricey even with a buddy pass). Last year I discovered Ragged when they had a 4pk deal for something like $280 bucks, which was a great deal and its a really fun little mountain. I'll take 4 days at Ragged or Pat's over 2 at Stratton or Killington crowds.
You just missed it this year, but something to keep an eye on for next year, if you purchase a Ragged seasons pass in late March to about mid April for the following season, it's only about $400 and it comes with 4 free days at Jay. (The free Jay passes have blackout dates though.)

I mostly ski Ragged, Cannon and Burke but I got an Ikon pass for next year (plus a Ragged pass) and will be skiing a bunch of places.

Assuming "mountains" means something like the "rockies" I'm a Colorado skier checking in. Learned to ski when I was a kid in Maine tho, primarily at Black Mountain back before they had a chairlift with some trips to Sunday River and Sugarloaf. Before I became a father and primary caregiver for the kiddo I would do more Destination Skiing but I pretty much stay in-state these days and avoid the Big Corporate Ski Resorts. Arapahoe Basin the home area.

How’s the snow before Christmas?
Usually pretty decent. Most of the fun stuff up high isn't really filled in but December tends to be one of the snowier months. Great snowpack this year - we were basically fully open the week after Thanksgiving.

Nice, I read it was better than most. May kick my season off next year there.

West coaster here. Palisades at Tahoe still has so much snow if people want to extend their seasons. Get on it early because after one pm its tacky and slushy!
