What's he saying now?Oh baby, just as i was about to slag off the Hammers fans...and my dad's texting me, from agony to ecstacy in three text messages.
He's very level headed. What's he saying now?
And you have to make sure your grandmother isn't dressed provocatively at the matchEvery other Rooney touch is a long ball or a shot. Has to be frustrating to play with him, even if he is adjusting to a new position.

I'm pretty sure that they are guaranteed the spot as long as they beat Stoke. With City a lock for top 5, the 6th finishing team in the league now is a lock for Europa league and West Ham can finish no lower than 6th if they win their next game. The ManU-Palace match will determine whether the last spot goes to Palace (if they win) or the 7th place team in the league (if United win). So if West Ham beat Stoke, then the 7th spot (if available, via a ManU FA Cup win) will be contested between Liverpool and Soton. That's my understanding at least. So, can West Ham clinch Europa league now by winning this weekend at Stoke?
Or would they still lose out if Liverpool win both of their remaining games and Crystal Palace wins the FA Cup?
Yeah, I think that's it. They can still finish anywhere from 5th to 8th. 5th, 6th, and FA Cup Winner/7th get Europa. So if Liverpool win the Europa League, they qualify for the CL even if 8th (and don't displace the #4 team). But if they lose to Sevilla, then in order to make the Europa league at all, they need to finish 7th (currently 2 points behind the Saints with a game in hand) and have United win the FA Cup. Is that right?
I don't think they do lose the Europa spot.Yeah, I think that's it. They can still finish anywhere from 5th to 8th. 5th, 6th, and FA Cup Winner/7th get Europa.
I think if Liverpool finishes 5th-7th but get into the CL by beating Sevilla England loses that Europa spot.
I read somewhere they do lose it if Liverpool earn the spot but get into the Champions League by beating Sevilla. It would go from 4 CL and 3 EL spots to 5 CL and 2 EL, although I think they would keep the 3 EL spots if Liverpool finish 8th.I don't think they do lose the Europa spot.
If they fail to pick up more points than any of the teams above them, however, and remain in eighth place, they will not be able to get into Europe through the league.
However, Liverpool can avoid all those issues and qualify for the Champions League if they beat Sevilla in the Europa League final, going straight into the group stages.
Were that to happen, no other English team would be affected - the Premier League would end up with five Champions League places, and would only lose a Europa League place if it would otherwise have gone to Liverpool.

In other words, there's no way the 8th place team gets into the Europa League, even if Liverpool beat Sevilla.
I think the true answer is that it depends, here's a sky sports article from yesterday:Well, either TalkSport or the Daily Mail is wrong (see my edited post above).
And yes, I know defending anything written in the Daily Mail is a slippery slope...
I'm just going from Wikipedia here, but it says in relevant part:If Liverpool win the Europa League and finish in the top seven, then the Premier League is likely to lose one of its spots in next year's Europa League, meaning seventh place is not a guarantee of European qualification.
Likewise, the Champions League page says that if the Europa (or CL) winners do not otherwise qualify through their domestic league finish, their league in effect gets 5 entrants into the CL. As Spain did this past year.Usually, places are awarded to teams who finish in various runners-up places in the top-flight leagues of Europe and the winners of the main cup competitions. A few countries have secondary cup competitions but the only countries which currently grant a UEFA Europa League place to their secondary cup winners are England andFrance.
A team may qualify for European competitions through more than one route. In all cases, if a club is eligible to enter the UEFA Champions League then the Champions League place takes precedence and the club does not enter the UEFA Europa League. The UEFA Europa League place is then granted to another club. If a team qualifies for European competition through both winning a cup and league placing, the "spare" UEFA Europa League place will go to the highest placed league team which has not already qualified for European competition, depending on the rules of the national association.
(entering at) Third Qualifying Round: 3 domestic league sixth-placed teams from associations 1–3 (League Cup winners for England)
Group Stage:
- 12 domestic cup winners from associations 1–12
- 1 domestic league fourth-placed team from association 4
- 3 domestic league fifth-placed teams from associations 1–3
If you guys escape relegation, I wonder what kind of odds you'll have to win the title next year...This is already an infinitely more entertaining match than the ManU one last weekend.
It's no surprise our defending is trash. It's more of a shock that we've scored 2. First goals in a month.
