Yep, fully agree. Maybe they hate each other when the mics are off, but it sure doesn't come across in the show - it's been great.

Totally agree. And it seems like Fred is being particularly nice to Rich. Lots of laughs in a pretty dark week for Boston sports. These guys are simply great at what they do.
Fred, more than anyone, has to realize he has a GREAT thing going with Rich. I hope they work out all the animosity and tension out behind the scenes and keep moving forward with great radio.

Like any relationship, sometimes there are a bunch of minor annoyances that people let slide because there are bigger issues to deal with and it just keeps building up until there is a huge blow up. Everything comes out at once, all the grievances are aired and then you can move on because all that shit that is now out there and has been addressed.

Been listening to T&R since the 'BCN days and lurking on here for years wondering what it would take to make an account. I guess Freddy T's suicidal tweets and obviously drunk IG did the trick. Hope he gets well soon. Thinking this could be the beginning of the end for the show. How much more can they tolerate?
If nothing else, Fred needs to get off social media. He's got the worst people responding in the worst ways whenever he posts something, as cryptic as this is.

He sounded off at the end of the show Friday. Talking about being fine if a home invader killed him in his sleep. Slipped up about drinking when his friend was in town. Then started slurring his words a little. Not drunk sounding but like too many valium.

Somone on Twitter said he sounded messed up on Friday. I went back and he sounded fine, but I didn't hear the end of the show. I'll have to listen.
He's being eviscerated on Twitter and IG. It's a terrible situation all around. People were RT'ing Fred and tagging Wallach, the show page, Mike Gorman, the producer - anyone who would see a RT and get in touch with Fred. It was John Q. Public crisis responding to a very public figure. Quite a bizarre situation.
He sounded drunk throughout the show on Friday. He couldn't string together one sentence without a hiccup. Not the first time recently either it was just a lot worse.

New guy here. Not the same as the ones angrily adamant Fred was drunk on Friday. I tried to listen for any sign of impairment and I can't hear it. His Twitter stuff last night was legit concerning and we all know he's been through a crap ton lately, but forcing a narrative that he was messed up on air again is false.
The nature of my work involves frequently interacting with patients in restraints. I can say with a pretty high degree of confidence those are not medical restraints, Agree it's probably being secured to a gurney.
I hope I am not wrong and this is just Chicken Little again. It sure got buzz last time and seems to be working again, but one time it will be real and no one will believe.

Because over the past year or so random sock puppet accounts have popped up only to talk about, and usually shit on, Fred. No posts anywhere else, one or two in here, then nothing. It seems odd to happen on a Red Sox board for someone to create an account just to shit on Fred Toucher....and it's been about 8-10 accounts

Well I'm not here to shit on Fred at all. I love Fred. I guess it's one of those things when something you enjoy might disappear you just want to know why, and this forum seems to be the only place that has mostly sane people discussing things. Twitter is a cess pool and Instagram is annoying.

I am a newbie as well but I get where the lifers are coming from completely. I've been on their side for a completely different forum and you do get territorial about it when new people show up. They don't want something they've enjoyed for decades to be "sullied". Gotta have a thick skin when you arrive somewhere that has an established root system.

Let's establish roots by creating fan fiction about Fred's financial situation, inability to split Lockhart's salary with Rich, the hostile work environment talk, and so forth. What's happening on this forum today is much more rooted in potential truth than the crap that was circulating on here 2-3 weeks ago before Fred rejoined the show. The only difference is a bunch of us with time on our hands this holiday weekend took time to create accounts and chime in.
