The guy has been a Royals fan for 20 years, and I just find it pretty fucking cool that he'll be there in person to watch his team. Another reason to root for the Royals.
This is the main point.MentalDisabldLst said:I want KC to sweep the postseason. Partly because MFY fans always brag about the 1998 team going 11-1 in the postseason, and I'd like to be able to respond "big deal, KC didn't lose a game in 2014".
Also, partly because SF has two titles in the last 5 years and really, their team this year doesn't deserve another one. They're practically the 2006 Cardinals.
And also because, having moved to SF 20 years ago from Springfield, I've come to hate Giants fans. Every single one I've met is either fickle or an annoying homer.MentalDisabldLst said:I want KC to sweep the postseason. So if the Padres ever get into the world series, it'll be f their incredibly large homeless population and the surfer scene?rembrat said:Fuck your incredibly large homeless population and your faux hippy scene, SF. Go Royals.

Are the Royals really the underdog here? It seems that in both sentiment and expectation, the Royals are the choice to win. Vegas is favoring them slightly, and obviously a vast majority of neutral fans are, too.rembrat said:Don't take it to heart, San Franciscans, but in this WS you will be playing the part of the Yankees and everyone loves an underdog. Yep, as a Giants fan I get the sentiment. Obviously I want them to win, but I'm happy to temporarily embrace the heel role. I almost feel bad for the neutral fan that there aren't any jerks on the Giants roster. Do any of you find any of the Giants to be particularly hateable?

As opposed to the KC crowds, which will only consist of die-hards without cell phones, right? Give me a break.Trlicek's Whip said:Plus you know that the SF crowds are going to be an Uber's worth of of venture capitalist, Soylent-drinking, Betabrand-wearing douchenozzled trash diddling their smartphones.
