Mildly waved off an official. Didn’t say a word. Tony Brothers Td him up from 50 feet away. For those not following, how did Tatum earn the techs? Was it BS?

Just a hand wave at a no call, ref at mid court not even involved call him for itFor those not following, how did Tatum earn the techs? Was it BS?
Got mauled with no call and gave a gesture towards the ref, then delay of game for some reason off of a made 3For those not following, how did Tatum earn the techs? Was it BS?
He waved his hand at an official. The official he did it too wasn’t even looking at him….but Tony Brothers saw it and T’d him up. No words were said, just a wave of the handFor those not following, how did Tatum earn the techs? Was it BS?
Hand wave towards official. There are certain actions towards officials that are supposed to be called techs (and that is on the list). I find the list to be a bit arbitrary, so I'm not a huge fan.For those not following, how did Tatum earn the techs? Was it BS?
Honestly, my problem is more that there’s no consistency. Like with how this game has been called, how the fuck is a foul called on JB for bodying up Zion when he tried to drive? This is awful. I understand the need for adjusting how the game was being officiated but guys are being grabbed and tackled as they come around screens. Things have swung crazy the other way. I hope they can find a middle ground.
at the end of the day, more physicality on the perimeter will benefit Boston.Honestly, my problem is more that there’s no consistency. Like with how this game has been called, how the fuck is a foul called on JB for bodying up Zion when he tried to drive?
There’s no rhyme or reason to any of it
I don’t get how any sport can just basically change the rules mid season.. after trades have been made with the assumption that things will be for the year.. then just allow a totally different style of play and is going to muck up offenses that rely on timing and movement? The nba was all of a sudden concerned with offenses being too good? Who wants to watch clutching and grabbing? I also think this just makes what is and isn’t a foul a lot more of an opinion of the official, and that’s never good. It feels like it’s going to be a shit show I’m the playoffs.. and this style of play greatly benefits teams like Miami and Milwaukee have slower players that couldn’t guard anyone if they weren’t allowed to clutch and grab. This is awful. +1The Celtics and us fans can complain about the officiating all we want. It will not change. They have to match the way the game is being called, fair or not. That's the only option here aside from letting the refs take them out of their game.

hi, this is a message board we do complain all we want that's kind of the point here. WELCOME TO THE GAME THREADThe Celtics and us fans can complain about the officiating all we want. The issue is that it does change though. Not only from game to game, but from possession to possession. The Celtics and us fans can complain about the officiating all we want. It will not change. Agreed 100%. Playoff officiating is madness. Let's get into that mode sooner rather than later.it feels like a playoff whistle
I'd rather have Boston prepare for it now
that's fairhi, this is a message board we do complain all we want that's kind of the point here. WELCOME TO THE GAME THREAD
I know you were, Big Cat. Was just a comment on the simultaneousness of the posts.Outright agreeing with you actually.
Wasn’t that an in-game line while they were trailing by quite a bit? I think they were favorites at the tipoff.im shocked the Celtics came in as underdogs tonight. that seems like a sever overreaction by vegas

I'd agree. I think Tatum could improve his midrange percentages if he'd pick spots on the floor to shoot from and then figure out ways to work himself to those spots. That baseline fadeaway is the closest thing Tatum has to a signature shot. I wish they’d work to get him that shot close and late
Tatum's left side of the floor 3s and midranges are much better than the right sideI'd agree. I think Tatum could improve his midrange percentages if he'd pick spots on the floor to shoot from and then figure out ways to work himself to those spots.
