Reiss has confirmed just a cut and looked good in practice. Our long regional nightmare is over.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/22161485/tom-brady-new-england-patriots-suffered-cut-hand-practice-injury
The interview with Kraft actually made me feel more uneasy.

"More than my heart," he said. "I actually was in Florida for a day and a half, and I was out at a restaurant and got a call from my favorite quarterback. FaceTime. Saw his situation. So then I got up here quickly to see firsthand. I saw him throw a few out at practice, and it made me feel a lot better. But it's still a challenge. It was an unfortunate force majeure item. So now we hope for the best. He's a real competitor, as we all know."

Why would Kraft hurry home from Florida for "just a cut"? Oh well, I guess we can try to find hidden meaning in words, and scrutinze pictures of a gloved hand all we want, but we won't know anything. We won't know until the season is over (and maybe not even then) just how bad it is.

Hurrying home for Kraft there is instructing the pilot to burn more fuel.

Kraft hurrying home sounds like the perfect excuse to get out of something.

Because it was on his throwing hand and gushing blood. He’s fine.

Oh for Christ’s sake he came home a day early. It’s not like he cut a family vacation short, he was coming back anyway.

I wan to see close up replays of the ball streaked with blood.

Nantz - "He's really putting it all out there on the fie---"
Romo - "YOU'LL NOTICE THAT ON THIS NEXT PLAY BRADY IS GOING TO LOOK OVER TO HIS SLOT RECEIVER AND THEN PIVOT AND THROW TO COOKS DOWN THE SIDELINE"

Nobody should be swayed by anything at this point. Take tomorrow as it comes.

I’ll say it again. Those who know aren’t saying; those who are saying don’t know. I put Reiss in the latter category. It’s safe to assume that whatever gets out is what the team wants out.

And there is great possibility that nobody knows. That is, nobody has a clue of how effective he’ll be until he gets out there and starts playing.

I would agree with you about a lot of the media, but not necessarily Reiss. He's one of the few guys that I believe is really plugged in down there, and frankly, he's also one of the few guys that has a lot to lose by coming out and saying that Brady looks good and have it turn out to be false. He's literally made his name in this industry by being the Pats guy. To swing and miss on this story would be really, really bad for him (unless there was some other story that he missed on recently that I'm unaware of and his reputation is already shit). He'd be better off saying nothing than saying this and being wrong.

That's a really good looking chicken basket. Six big pieces, perfectly cooked and the fries look just the right consistency of chewy and crunchy.

Back to regularly scheduled programming, missle is right. We'll know when we know. It's close enough now that I feel like speculation is just a waste of mental energy -- it is what it is and we'll know when we know and I got no cliches left.

Yup.

I mean, has Brady ever played with stitches before?

It’s not like there is any reason to believe they know what’s going to happen either. Well, except for the Belichick omniscience thing, but still.,,

Schefter source TB will probably wear glove:

Given the quote from Reiss about how he dislikes throwing with a glove, this isn't ideal.

Has there been any consideration of a modified glove? Perhaps fingerless?

Do we have any real reporters on this??

Was any of the blood saved to clone future Tom Brady’s?

And which will be a more super-human species: Brady/Moynihan spawn, Brady/Bundchen spawn, or straight Brady clones?

Which Sox pitcher was it that started a game in the cold weather several years ago with long sleeves and then went to short sleeves after an inning or two? Was that Pedro?

The one thing no one is talking about is how these stitches of his will affect his post football career as a hand model... no one is addressing this.

So after the Pats beat Jacksonville today and post game rumors are that this was all a big hoax designed to deceive the Jags, what will the antis call this episode? Handgate will probably be the odds on fave because it's easy and they're lazy, but I would hope for something like The Great New England Hand Job. Any others?

Huge plus it will be just about perfect conditions today for the game.
Pretty much.

Funny how these things work out.

“I want Pittsburgh!” (Oh wait ...)

“I want the frozen tundra!” ( to the point of arguing about the 5-day temp forecast ... “unreliable!” when temp forecasts 5 days out are Uber reliable) (Oh wait...)

If it's just to protect stitches as opposed to covering up a brace or splint, then I'll freaking take it.

Nothing worse than not being able to get a hand job?
We've already had people arguing in this thread that the Patriots and Brady were taking advantage of all the uncertainty by using their skill at trolling the media and the opponents. In other words, people think Brady is a master baiter.

Wait...

I assume, like you, that Brady’s blood has restorative properties.

Has anyone tried treating Brady’s injuries with his own blood??!!

At this point I have come around to the idea that he’s doing this out of spite.
