B-Rod's arrived, Sevco's back, and the Honest Men are in the Championship.
What a glorious time for Scottish football!
What a glorious time for Scottish football!
I should get a Hearts shirt this year.
Get ready: Hearts are hosting the legendary FC Infonet Tallinn on Thursday in the first leg of the first round of Europa League qualifying.I have an EPL team (well, actually, they're in the Championship this year, so I guess I don't), and I read what folks say about the Scottish league here and find it interesting. A lot of people already root for Celtic, and I have a soul so I'm not gonna root for fuckin' Rangers, and I like Hearts' shirts more than Hibs.' So Hearts it is. I also found it interesting how they came back from bankruptcy and got back into the SPL after a couple of years in the wilderness.
I mean, I'm an American with no Scottish ancestry at all, nor English for that matter. At some point you make a random choice and go from there.
Lee Casciaro is a full time GD cop....I wonder how that works. I would have thought that such a conviction would disqualify you from being one.
There is no way all those facts are true, and none of them may be.
Calm doon gadgie. The Mighty Celtic have the beating of these upstart Imps.Celtic with 2 quick goals before the 20-minute mark, but that won't make me rest easy.
The way things are politically in Scotland and Great Britain in general there is no way Celtic or whoever wins the SPL is getting into the English league. A British league might be possible in the distant future but that is so far off it's not worth even thinking about. I've said it before, if Scottish football was competitive, if Aberdeen and Hearts and Hibs (post promotion) could contend, we'd have a half decent league...and we'd be a more attractive proposition from a TV entertainment perspective. But that's a long way off too. The folks that run Scottish footie are not fit for purpose.Lets be honest here besides Celtic who can win the scottish prem league. There is not a whole lot of quality team who have the money like Celtic. Here is an idea could the epl and spl make a deal where the winner of the spl get in a promotion battle with one of promotion candidates from the championship or have a relegation battle with one of the three teams that get the drop kinda like the bundesliga in germany? What are your guy's thoughts just an idea to make the footballing world more interesting?
