I order for pickup via seamless when I want to take a walk. My goal in most areas of life is to avoid speaking to another human being. Seamless lets me accomplish that.glennhoffmania said:Off topic, but how come you prefer to order in instead of going on? I pretty much only use Seamless at home.
Question is for Rembrat.
SumnerH said:At least around here, seamless requires a credit card (you can't pay cash) and has a much smaller assortment of restaurants available.

This is probably personal preference, but being able to easily order delivery without having to pay with cash is the biggest reason I use this type of service. I hate having to make sure I have enough cash on hand and small bills for tips. Much easier to just have it all charged to the linked credit card.

Are there other options in the Boston area other than Foodler? Any reason why they are better?
Like I said, I'm in DC (Alexandria, VA really) and use foodler most of the time; they have by far the biggest selection of restaurants to choose from. Grubhub and seamless are close in terms of next best choice, but seamless requires a credit card and charges an extra $.50 so they're the least used of the 3. Finefood4u (which is just a local branding of takeout taxi) is probably #2, honestly; they're a ripoff but I can get some awesome gourmet options that the others don't provide (or just resell them at a markup), so I'll occasionally splurge and use them for a fancy place that foodler doesn't offer.Seven Costanza said:I don't really have much experience with either- from what I gather Foodler is Boston based, but they sort of represent (based on what I can find) that they're in other places as well. I guess that's not the case!
