Gary is pissed about all that press Roger has gotten lately. The Four Peters said:Literally the minute Game 4 ended you knew the Cup needed to be in the building tonight. That was Wednesday night. Inexcusable.
Reggie Leach and Giguere.Fred in Lynn said:Hextall in 87. Who else? He did specify skater.
Leach, that's right. I lost some credibility points with that one.kenneycb said:Reggie Leach and Giguere.

Faux nice. And Bettman is playing to the crowd. The Four Peters said:Goddamn it Midwesterners are too goddamn nice. Stop cheering Bettman.
Not a Copeland fan?scotian1 said:A bit hokey with the musical intro for it.
Apparently they've used it for a pre-game video intro since they moved to the United Centerscotian1 said:A bit hokey with the musical intro for it.
That trade looked like a bust at the end of the regular season. Not so much now.kenneycb said:Ha, Vermette third.
It looked like a bust halfway through the second round. The Four Peters said:That trade looked like a bust at the end of the regular season. Not so much now.
Yep.The Napkin said:I've seen the bruins win the cup on the road. I've seen the cup won at the garden. I'm missing one thing....
That's absolutely absurd in this era.cshea said:Hossa has played in 5 of the last 8 Stanley Cup Final's. The man has played some playoff hockey.
Just coming to post that. How does a goalie play with that? I can't even fathom it.cshea said:On the other side, Bishop confirms he had a torn groin.
I spent this entire playoffs thinking to myself, "How can that old fart keep playing so well, while we watch the corpses of Chara and Seidenberg" (I know, different position, but they are all players who feel like they have been around forever).cshea said:Hossa has played in 5 of the last 8 Stanley Cup Final's. Hossa hasn't torn one of his 'CLs.LogansDad said:I spent this entire playoffs thinking to myself, "How can that old fart keep playing so well, while we watch the corpses of Chara and Seidenberg" (I know, different position, but they are all players who feel like they have been around forever).
Turns out he isn't even 6 months older than me.
I really wanted Game 7, but i can't complain about Chicago winning. Just an extraordinary team to watch night in and night out. It seemed like in every game there was a point where they said to each other, "Screw this, let's take this game over", and for the next 7-10 minutes they absolutely controlled the game. Some night, bishop was enough. the last 2, he wasn't.
This is fair, and I am hopeful that Chara can come back. It just blows my mind to see Hossa continually be one of the fastest and strongest guys on the ice, because it feels like he has been around FOREVER.kenneycb said:Hossa hasn't torn one of his 'CLs.
If they didn't get that rest after the 2nd round, I don't know if they make it through that Tampa series.NYCSox said:Tampa played 26 out of a possible 28 playoff games. That had to have some effect the last couple of games.
Thank God the Bruins swept the Flyers in 2011. Otherwise they were looking at 26, 27, maybe 28 games.
Every year, the cup winner has one short series. It's basically impossible to win it without that.NYCSox said:Tampa played 26 out of a possible 28 playoff games. That had to have some effect the last couple of games.
