Wentz might be better than Rivers. So I think they are a possibility, even if it is a slight one.
My disagreement with you on this point is entirely driven by my opinion of Wentz. It’s hard to understate how bad he was this season.

Rivers is not the player he used to be, and the Colts won’t miss a beat if they swap him out for the thoroughly mediocre Kirk Cousins this off-season.

The Colts defensive plan would be improved if their defensive secondary would cover the Bills receivers. Just a thought.

That whole drive was Josh Allen doing Josh Allen things. He’s not quite in the Mahomes/Rodgers/Wilson tier, but I’d take him ahead of anyone else — including Deshawn Watson, or TB12 or Brees at this stage of their careers.

Seems like they are. A lot of those plays took a long time to develop. Secondary can’t cover indefinitely.

I have never seen that. Ever. That should always be an illegal lineman downfield penalty unless it is a designed trick play. The defensive line got such a great push across the whole line that it actually burned the Colts because of Allen’s awareness and creativity.

Josh Allen and Justin Herbert have made a pretty good case for prioritizing measurables when drafting a QB.

edit - *Mahomes may fit that somewhat too...iirc a lot of people were surprised where he was drafted and didn’t see him as a can’t miss type guy based on his college career.

If Mahomes makes that play, the announcer ( Collinsworth, Romo or Aikman, they would have orgasmed.
Mahomes, like Wilson and Rodgers, is a handsome motherfucker in addition to being an elite QB.

Allen seems like the sort of guy who will feed off the slight, so it’s all good for the Bills and their fans if he closes the (relatively small) gap between himself and those guys and doesn’t get proper credit.

Agreed. Except I’d rather have Watson.

No way I'm taking him over Watson and at this point in Brady's career I'd probably take Baker Mayfield over him, nevermind Allen. Dude has what at most 2 years left?

There aren’t really bad athletes sticking at QB in the past how many drafts?

Sometimes they’re Jake Locker, sometimes they’re Josh Allen. Clearly Allen has intangible gifts, too, given how dramatically he has improved (work ethic) and his playing instincts.

I’m talking about who I’d take to win a game right now. The Bucs would be a better team with Allen instead of Brady.

2 punts from Buffalo territory. This game is over.
Agreed. Just a terrible way to play a game in the playoffs on the road with a bunch of offensive weapons.

That Taylor drop ended that drive. It is the little things that add up.

Not going for that fourth and 5 is fucking lame. Do you know your opponent? And the situation? The throwing conditions are as good as you will see in an outdoor, northern game in January, too.

This year’s combine might be the most anticipated one ever. Lawrence is obviously the franchise, and any doubts about Fields obviously aren’t based on measurables (he’s big, he’s athletic, and he can make all the throws), but it’s unclear whether Wilson, Lance, and Jones have the baseline athleticism for the position (arm strength and accuracy for Lance, speed/strength for the others).

Part of what makes Josh Allen what he is is tangling with big defenders, then getting up with a smile on his face. Bills fans better get used to feeling their hearts in their throats, because he’s never going to fully embrace the slide.

My son just noted that there haven’t been many Chevy truck ads on TV lately — they’re putting the money behind GMC. Interesting.

Colts are playing tough but they always seem to fade in 2nd half. Loving this game so far

I don’t understand how so many people STILL take the ball out of the end zone on a kickoff. It works out seemingly like 5% of the time at best.

Watching this made me think wow, the Jesters had a tough schedule this years (played Bills 2x and Colts) so I looked it up; second hardest schedule.

Edit: Pats were 1 and played the Jets so the rest of it must have been really tough.

Buffalo's defense isn't good enough this year to be able to take so many 3 & outs on bad playcalling.
