A Scud Away from Hell
I present to you, the Angry Chuck.

OH YOU GUYS WANT TO TACKLE GRONK

YOU LOOK LIKE FUCKING BABY KITTENS

GOOD LUCK GOING HOME TO YOUR PONY STABLES AND EATING HAY

LUCK WHERES YOUR MANNING FACE

YOU CANT EVEN FIND THE END ZONE

AND YOUR NECK BEARD LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE HIDING YOUR TRIPLE CHIN

Now the Game BallZ:
  • Gray: wuh, wuh, whut? Jonas Gray? How about this nugget: "@JLundbladESPN: Jonas Gray is 4th RB in last 50 years w/180 yds, 4 rush TD on the road (joins Barry Sanders, Doug Martin, Mike Anderson)"
  • Secondary: Fleener made some plays but limited T.Y. Hilton to 3 catches and 24 yards. The corner & safety depth on this team is pretty amazing. Revis seems like a must sign for 2015
  • Oline: completely man-handled the Colts all game long, both in pass protection and of course, on rushes
This Patriots team may be the most complete team since the SB days. Winning with defense and running the ball?

Added Bonus: Colts fans really took this game as the most important of the year and understandably so. Not just for the AFC seeding implications but to beat BB & Brady in the Luck era, on their own turf. Makes the win that much more satisfying.

Gray obviously but o-line for kicking some fucking ass all game long.

Remember September when the line sucked?  Me neither.

yammer's favorite poster
Gronk for going all Blindside on Sergio Brown and mudholing their whole fucking secondary for the FU TD.

Jonas Gray, Rivers Cuomo's favorite running back.

And really nothing to complain about on D, one of the TD's was a gift from Brady to Luck and he still had to throw a perfect fade to Nicks to get it, at times they moved it well between the 20s but we made enough plays when it mattered.

Gray obviously.

Gronk for playing enforcer the past couple weeks and generally being unstoppable.

Fleming/O-Line.

Among the AFC powers Broncos, Colts, Ravens, and Steelers, Indy probably has the least contemptible team...and undoubtedly has the most contemptible fans.

Honorary game ball for picking up Gray in the first place. Every Single Year BB finds a gem.

Yup.

Plus Tim Wright had a TD catch and the line didn't seem to be missing Mankins today.

Jonas Gray tonight was what people thought Trent Richardson would be.

Hightower and Collins were excellent again and Easley was really good.

The entire Colts' running game deserves credit here. Bradshaw did nothing. Their oline was as horrible as the Patriots' was good.

My swinging game balls:

1) Jonas Gray. Not counting on future Emmitt Smith performances from him, but this was a good game to have one.
2) Gronkowski. Not just for the FU touchdown at the end, but an outstanding blocking performance from what I could see of him. Develin deserves credit here, too.
3) Revis. Hard to pick just one defensive player, but receivers covered by him did jack and shit. And the Colts have some damned good receivers.

Does Manning let an rb score 4 times while he's sitting on one td?
Has he gotten all of his receivers killed at this point or is there someone he can throw to? Seems important for this hypothetical.

My three, nothing more to say.

Edelman for that block.
And for going back to give him a second one.

OLine, Gray, Gronk, Revis, Hightower, Collins. Game. Balls.

Off-season question: What to do with Mayo (and his $10.6 million cap hit)? Can he stay healthy? hat's the best make up of the LB corps?

Most have been covered, but LaFell had 2-3 sweet back-shoulder catches

Ty Law & Troy Brown ripped Reggie Wayne to shreds saying he took a lot of plays off and quit running routes.
It is hard to see on the TV feed but there was one really obvious play where he stayed on screen the whole time running a shallow cross and he couldn't have run much more than half speed and at one point just stopped.

Lots of great choices. All have been covered but to chime in.

1) Revis and the secondary--Wow they are good. Even the rare times they give up a big play they nut up and limit the damage. The tip to McCourty for the INT was awesome. Breathtaking.
2) O-Line--Dominating.
3) Gray--A friggin fire hydrant, he will do just fine in Foxboro in the cold.
4) Big Al Branch--He brought the wood at DT. He and Big Vince are a great DT pair.

Hon Mention to Gronk for cleaning dumb ass Brown's clock and Edelman for the big block on Gronk's TD.

I thought the best drive of the game was the 1st one starting the second half. After allowing that dumb-ass INT & the TD, Vereen caught that sweet wheel route pass and almost broke it before getting a FU-TD right back.

Not a misprint:
  • Trent "2 First Round Picks" Richardson: 7 rushes 0 yards
  • Ahmad Bradshaw: 7 rushes 4 yards
DL also needs some love for sure. Branch showed life and could be a huge boost if he gets in any kind of a roll.

Can't make out the number but there's no way he wanted to get in Gronk's way.

I wonder if it's the same DB who provided my favorite moment of idiocy of the night. After Gray had powered for another eight or nine yards, in the fourth quarter, the DB who arrived on the scene late started pointing at him and jawing. So, he doesn't make the tackle and he's clowning on the guy who ran for 199 yards.

I noticed that too. I think he was giving Gray grief that he didn't get the first down - was about a yard short.

That was like UUU celebrating a K after blowing the 9th inning lead.

The game ball goes to the entire franchise.  They went into Indy, tore their defense to shreds and made it so Luck had to beat them throwing to his secondary targets.  Who, in the NFL, wants to face New England right now?  Yeah, that includes Green Bay, Detroit and Arizona too.

Nobody Cares
I'll throw a bone to the tenacious Rob Ninkovich. He was his typical relentless and tireless self, never coming off the field and always a general pain in the ass for opposing offenses. Guy just gets it done.
