My game ball goes to #12.
  • 33/42 for 358 yards
  • 2 TDs / 0 INTs
And Ghost for breaking the consecutive PAT record.

The offensive depth is actually getting deeper with Keyshawn Martin catching 3 balls for 33 yards.

And the karma ball goes to Sergio Brown, who went for Gronk's knees and promptly got himself hurt. Fuck that guy.

Three Up:

1) Brady. His throws were crisp and tight and perfect all day long. It's just the best to watch the GOAT have fun.

2) LGBT: He looks as strong as ever. Tackling that guy seems like tackling a tree stump.

3) Andrews: Every time he's on screen he's doing something good. His quickness to get downfield on the Amendola screen was really impressive.

Down:

1) The rest of the league. Watch the hell out.

The Pats were so dominant, it's hard to give out individual awards. LGBT had the stats, but they came kind of late.

Sheard was good early, and Collins is good all the time. Jordan Richards seemed to have a pretty good game...

@MikeReiss On fake punt that Patriots stopped in 2nd half, Bill Belichick notes that team was beaten in practice by James White on something similar.

Most prepared team in the league.

I was about to say Matt Slater deserves recognition.

Up
Brady---playing the best he's ever played and yes that includes 2007.
Blount--not getting many carries but made the best of them.
Googe--getting all these rookies playing as well as they are is a testament to his coaching.  They shuffled so much and it really didn't affect the offense.

Down
Secondary again gives up some big plays and a lot of 3rd down conversions.  They need to figure out the corners behind Butler as it could come back to bite them.

LaFail? Seriously? I'm hoping that's an autocorrect issue, otherwise I don't know why you'd be picking on playoff hero Brandon LaFell.

I would think it is a mistake but him using "Dropson", makes me doubt it.
FYI changing players names to something you think is clever pretty much never is.

Related to the topic that was such a beat down it's tough to pick. Brady for sure, after that it was a total team win.

Yeah, you seem unaware of how he actually played last year.

But, you know, Berman made a career out of dumb nicknames.

Calm down I love LaFail. It's a joke because that's what half the fans in the league (and some on this board) were calling him when the Pats signed him and through the first 3 or 4 games last year.

Here
Everyone. The only significant mistake I saw the entire game was Harmon reacting late, and the game was already out of reach. By extension, I guess that means BB gets my game ball.

I'm off the main grid here because so many had great games.

Belichick for having the team totally prepared to play 60 minutes. Slater for one of the best special teams plays I've seen. The amount of ground covered was amazing.

The offense looks ridiculously locked-in. They've played a mixed bag of opposition, but there hasn't been a series outside of the opening minutes in Buffalo where the D has been able to assert itself. 2007 might have been more explosive, but this has been a case of complete control so far. It's basically the same scheme as second-half 2014 but without the weird dead spells that occurred last year in the beginning of games.

The offense looks as good as it does and when you consider that there are 3 rookies in the interior OL and the #2 WR hasn't played a down yet it's even more remarkable.  When they get LaFell and Stork back they get better.

Very excited about this offensive line. When 12 has time and a weapon or two, good things happen.

That was as much of a clinic as I have ever seen in terms of one team laying a beating on the other. I mean, it was a blowout, but in an almost boring, methodical fashion.

Brady
Ghost
Andrews
Gronk

I am also fairly certain BB is clairvoyant or super-human or something.

Most boring game I've see where a team scores 50+ which is incredible.

Brady, Edelman, Brisby, Lewis and Ghost for me.

Just a clinic. How bad are the Dolphins to lose to this crew and now get their doors blown off by Buffalo?

Remember when the AFC East was wide open? Me neither.

I think another member got sent to the dunces corner over in the RS thread for pulling that crap with names. Wy don't you just stop with that nonsense or find a thread where that constitues wit.

Edit: Not into piling on. I didn't see the prior posts.

You get the point. Then again maybe you don't.

I mean the whole team played fantastic in all 3 phases. But Googe I think continues to need more love. The Oline with Andrews, Mason, Jackson, and Kline as the new guys has been stellar. I'm sure some of this is Brady's pocket presence / quick release but these guys have impressed through 3 weeks. The Oline through 4 games last year was a disaster until Stork showed up. Even Solder looked like garbage then. This year, Stork and Wendell go out and Andrews steps right in and has done fantastic. I don't think enough credit can be given to them.

I don't think enough is said about the continuity of system the Pats have built up at this point. They just seem two steps ahead of all these other teams that turn over every couple years.

Brady through 3 games: 96/133, 72.2%, 1112 yards, 9/0 TD/INT

Pro-rated to 16 games: 512/709, 5930 yards, 48 TDs, 119.6 rating

The completions and yards are obviously records.

Pathetic touchdown projection. GTFO with that sub 50 garbage. Step it up #12.

No way a pre noodle arm Manning lets Blount go for 3 today. I wonder if he even bothered to get that 400 ball back from whoever Amendola gave it to. Guessing a team official probably did.

Amendola in post game said they did get it back.

Peyton's last milestone TD was followed up by a rehearsed and choreographed gimmick of keep away the ball. Brady's 400th TD, Amendola gives it to a fan either forgetting or not knowing. Pretty good juxtaposition of what 2 all time greats are all about.

The OLine & Googs deserve a lot of credit, but Solder struck me as a "Down" candidate. He had some obvious negative plays (whiffing on a block etc.) to my eyes. Not that we know his assignments, but he just seemed disinterested at times.

"Refs targeting Gronk for offensive PI" is a negative development. What was the consensus take on those calls? I thought the replay views were poor, but it looked to me as though 1 call was legit and the other was very ticky-tack.

Was he just sitting or did he get injured on the play where he knocked out the Eagle. Wasn't clear being there and I haven't seen a TV replay yet.

I thought both were OK calls by the rules, but they were unusual. Typically when I've seen OPI it's been either a pick or a push-off where the player committing OPI was the target of the pass. Neither of those was a pick; they were flagging Gronk for push-offs when the ball went elsewhere. I did see that again in another game later in the day, so I wonder if it's a league-wide point of emphasis. Or maybe they've been calling it all along and I'm just crazy.

According to this article, they got the ball back.

But Brady sounds as though he could not care any less about it.

I don’t care. Danny can do whatever he wants with it. He made a great catch.

If he was banged up I highly doubt they would have put him back in to block in a couple meaningless goal line plays.

That's exactly how I saw it. First one he def pushed off, arms fully extended. Second one replay wasn't great but I didn't see any push at all. Super Nomario says they're both legit so I'd go with his opinion over mine on football matters.
