The reason Brady doesn't do this is because he doesn't have any WRs like Boldin (or Torrey Smith). I think he's right to throw the deep ball just often enough to keep the defense honest, and to err on the side of not turning the ball over on those deep throws.
Does it keep the defense honest when he's inaccurate and never hits it when the guy is open? I would argue that while of course the opposing D is not going to let a guy run free, but they can definitely cheat towards the short and mid-routes because the Patriots don't make them pay for it.

Yeah, I agree- the result of TB being unable to deliver a long pass even to guys who are wide open is that defenses cheat up, clogging short and intermediate passing lanes. It's a big problem.

Was it LaFell who stopped running/didn't look for the ball on a deep throw?

This is an interesting statement but your phots without notations don't help expand on your point.  Can you elaborate/be mroe specific?

Those three pics are all from the Cincy game, and he's comparing them to the differences he saw between this season and the last two season as per his FC piece.

What soxfan and Rev said.

Through the first 4 games this year Solder was taking a stance that was much narrower than his previous seasons.  In the Cinci game, while not as wide as he was last year, he was setting a much larger base presnap and appears to be moving much quicker when he knew the snap count.  My post probably should have bumped the Solder thread but hindsight is 20/20.  Much more detail in the article linked above.

Make 'em click for the good stuff, JerBear. ;-)

The videos are freaking awesome in that piece linked above. If you read it, you will learn something.

Reads threads backwards
Edelman for lowering his shoulder on pacman instead of going out of bounds and sending him sprawling. There were several plays where the body language of the DBs said, fuck this guy is tough.

Vereen for drawing Barry Sanders comps from Collinsworth.

Revis for his 2nd INT (that was a BS call that nullified it)

Brady for being pissed off and not acting like a whiny Marino or P. Manning

Wright for looking good in 81
