No Edelman, no Gronk, no pass protection. That pretty much sums up today's loss.

Buffalo wins in NE for the first time since 2000. Only a single goat -- the entire OL. However, Bills do have the league's best pass rush (measured by # of sacks).

Let's all rest up (especially Edelman & Solder) and see who gets to come to NE.

deep in the hole
Problem was I'm not sure that the Patriots understood that the clock was continuing to run throughout the game (excepting of course when it was not).  Someone should have dropped that wisdom on them.

On a more serious note, I would like to understand where Solder, Connolly, and Volmer are in terms of injuries.  Hardest part of the next couple of weeks will be not knowing what sort of an o-line will be out there.

Liked what I saw from Garoppolo. Smart with the football, did not turn it over, made some plays with little help from the offensive line and the WRs besides LaFell. The second string defense stuffed Buffalo in the second half. Kyle Orton is horrible.

So, who starts the Game Thread for the divisional round?
Give it to me, my photoshops carried the sox through the playoffs in a support role, imagine if they were headlining

So, uhhh...

@BenVolin: LaFell said he’s ok, but just saw him go by in a golf cart in a walking boot

@BenVolin: Yeah, who knows? I'm sure he's OK, he came back in the game RT @patsrule23: @BenVolin That Lafell tweet was deleted quickly lol

Somewhere
Game ball goes to:

No lasting injuries

Goat goes to:

Josh Kline, worst of many bad backup OL. Hope the Patriots go with a line emphasis in the draft.

Goat to the OL and the...gosh, it's so hard to get up for this thread. Kline is awful. Solder sucks but now I'm worried we won't have him (or at least have him at full health) for the playoffs. So I'm a goat for being a whiny little worry wart hypocrite.

The key to the playoffs seems to me to be keeping the starting OL healthy and effective.  That happens, this team will hammer people.  That doesn't happen, and all bets are off, even in the opening game against whomever.
