We've got a few threads bouncing around discussing the same things. Figured we could game thread it today to keep it in one place. Not sure how much big activity is left. Most of the bigger names are already off the board, but there could be a surprise or two. The D pool is pretty much empty save for the depth dudes, but there hasn't been a ton of F movement yet besides Giroux and Hagel.

The Bruins appear to still have some irons in the fire so to speak. The D is pretty much set, maybe they pull in a Nick Holden type depth piece, but the heavy lifting is done. They still are seemingly set up for movement at F. They have $4.3 million in available cap space and can make more by demoting Studnicka or waiving Blidh.

I think in an ideal world they come away with a center and flip Jake for a comparable RW. We'll see if they get anything done on either front.

This is (not surprisingly) my exact wishlist. I'd add the caveat that I would really like to see them keep Lysell. Lohrei is on the table for me.

I could also see them add a depth RHD to spell/replace Clifton, although I wonder if they feel like Reilly/Forbort could step in that role. I also wonder if they might move Reilly.

I've seen Boeser floated out as a RW target. Also seen Monahan floated as a C target. Who else is out there as a possible target?

Current depth chart:

Marchand - Bergeron - DeBrusk
Hall - Haula - Pastrnak
Frederic - Coyle - Smith
Foligno - Nosek - Lazar
Blidh

Lindholm - McAvoy
Grzelyck - Carlo
Forbort- Reilly
Clifton

Swayman
Ullmark

I think a lot of today hinges on a center. If they get one, it pushes Haula back to wing and that I believe will free them up to move DeBrusk for a natural RW.

In a bigger package with JT Miller? (Don't know how they could clear enough cap space, however.)
Hard to see what the Bruins could send back to get J.T. Miller. If the Canucks move Miller, they'll get a lot in return.

Yes, I think they'd need to gut the farm, especially given that they'd need the Canucks to eat at least one of Foligno's, Reilly's, and Forbort's contracts. It's unlikely, but you never know how a particular organization values players/prospects.

What are thoughts on Paul Stastny as a rental 2C? 24 ES points in 52 games and a whopping 59% FO.
Type of move that makes sense for Bs but doubt WPG sells for a value BOS would be comfortable with given they are in striking distance of 2nd WC spot.

Is this GFIN mode for Minnesota? They seem way more active than years past. Has to be a lot of pent up frustration within that fan base.

As the guy who got ripped for picking Miller in Round 1 of the RealFantasy draft a couple seasons ago, I'd be pretty happy if he came here, though.

They will be road kill for Colorado in the 2nd round at best.
Colorado is great, but MAF has shut them down in the past, and I like this Minnesota team. He should also play better behind them than he has in front of a really, really bad Chicago team. I'm not saying it's LIKELY that they win, but this trade made them better, I think.

They're out of it between the games played and the soft remaining Stars schedule. Whether they believe it is another issue of course.

Yeah, it seems like WPG is punting. Most believe Copp is traded today. Don't know why they'd stop there if someone came asking about Stastny.

Yes.

FWIW, that Dom guy that posts over on HF was all over the Lindholm thing for the past week and said the Bruins wanted Rakell too but Rakell was insistent on going to free agency in the summer. The Bruins wanted Lindholm done so they went ahead with just him but they would circle back to Anaheim on Rakell.

I'm not an advanced analytics guy. The conventional numbers on Rakell look pretty meh. What am I missing?

Between here and everywhere.
Really quiet for 25 minutes away from the deadline.

There's been no rumblings around the Bruins outside of Rakell. I'd be shocked if DeBrusk was still around in 25 minutes - but anything that happens will be done so without much buildup it seems.

Yeah, I keep refreshing for news.

I, too, will be surprised if Debrusk is still here. Everything has lined up for a trade, it must happen.

would be interesting Debrusk stays after all this. I guess promise to trade him in the offseason to mollify?

Vancouver is done so no Boeser or Garland.

Sounds like Rakell likely moved somewhere but nobody knows where.

Haven't heard anything about Domi.
