What even just happened with the officials, though? What was the point of that? Like, clearly that was a concerted effort, and I don’t know why.

Stupid shit like this just makes the league looked rigged tbh. Not that either team was favored, but that clearly there was a pregame agenda in some capacity.
This is, or at least should be, a complete embarrassment for the NBA. People paid good money to see this game. If I had bought a ticket, I'd demand my money back. Sure, you know asa paying customer that not every game will be a good one. But as consumer you have a reasonable expectation that every game will be fairly contested in accordance with the rules. This one wasn't. What a travesty. How is the NBA planning on expansion when it refuses to even acknowledge, much less solve, it's most serious problem -- terrible, incompetent and even corrupt officiating?
