I think it's sad to root for a guy who chose to leave your team to join a more stacked team because he didn't want to be around for reloading again. Let alone the whole Gronkowski thing. When he retires I'll go back to being a fan, but in the meantime I root for the Patriots, not Tom Brady.

To each his own, but there are plenty of Pats fans who feel the same way.
This.

I have less than zero use for Brady and Gronkowski, I'm not "rooting" for either one of them, they are no longer on the Patriots.

As stated, to each his own; if someone wants to root for either/both of them, good for them.

I choose not to.

Period.

The discussion wasn't even about rooting for them, but refusing to watch them play. Which is silly.

Will you root for them when they play the Jets, Fins, and Bills?

Big Ben's shoulder is being held together by a six day old Primanti Bros. sandwich.

Remarkable catch from McLaurin. So many amazing and fun to watch young WR in the NFL. None in NE.

Good point, can't argue with that.

I know people who are Patriots fans who will be rooting for him vs the Patriots, two of which I will be seeing later today with their Tampa BRADY 12 jerseys on.

So in truth, my judgement/opinion is somewhat clouded.

I only caught the end of that replay of the Herbert fumble through the end zone, but that looked like a terrible call.

I‘m just going by the box scores, I don’t have that game here. I don’t think Darnold is good, it’s just a funny week 1 coincidence. Sorry my Jet fan friend.
Saleh is a great half time adjuster (on D, I’m a niners fan and watched him dominate teams in the second half).

He adjusted and Darnold looks pedestrian again. Jets problem is they have literally no O line.

I think the bigger issue is I get the impression a lot of "Patriots" fans started following them in 2001, so they are more "Brady" fans than "Patriots" fans, so he leaves and they still follow and root for him, he's the only QB they ever knew.

I've been a fan since 1968, so I'm more of a fan of the team than I am of any one player.

As many of you said, to each his own.

Ok, enough said about this; is it October 3rd yet?

Nothing better than over the shoulder catches like Christian Kirk just had for Arizona.

Bills bring in their short yardage package on 4th and 1, and then proceed to pitch it back like 8 yards and of course it gets completely blown up.

I don’t get the risk calculus on that playcall. That ball was pitched back like 5-6 yards behind the LOS with no momentum by the ball carrier. The only way that guy gets to the marker is if the defense falls asleep on the left side and the guy makes one guy miss.
