Yeah. The “no weapons” argument is tired. There are *decent* receivers and running backs on this team. He shouldn’t need three AJ Browns to compete; that’s not realistic in the NFL.
There’s talent (despite that awful Juju drop after an equally awful throw).
Lots of passes in the NFL are like that. Receivers HAVE to make that catch. 5% on Mac, 95% on JuJu.
It is a bit though. JJS Has to come up with that catch, but that’s a terrible ball and it should’ve been an easy pitch and catch for a first down.

I’m definitely someone who thought Mac deserved another year, and I still do. This is one game against a great team, but not having a semi serious backup is a real management error.
The throw might not have been great but it was 100% catchable by any receiver playing above the Pop Warner level.
He's probably disgusted and railing against what the NFL product has become. Seriously.

I mean, the throw to Bourne was great in a tight window. It’s a wet, I expect not every pass will be perfect. Regardless, that was 100% on Juju.
High school receivers can make that catch 90% of the time. Folks just expect every throw to be perfect. Kadarius Toney dropped 3 balls that weren't thrown as bad or worse than that on Thursday, and very little shit went Mahomes way for it.
NFL receivers are literally paid millions to make hard catches. That wasn't a hard catch.
The optimistic take on this game is that this is likely to be one of the 2-3 hardest opponents they face all year so being down two scores is not that unexpected at this point.
