They absolutely could not. People really need to realize how hard kicking in the NFL from any distance is, if you grabbed someone out of the stands and gave them 5 minutes to practice maybe 10 in 100 even get the ball over the line
I'm exaggerating it a little, but if you limited it to people who played high school sports under age 40 I think the # would be higher than you think. Kicking a 20 yard FG is not that hard, regardless of the rush.
I just cant believe Washington didn't have a single guy on the roster prepared for the unlikely scenario such as this one (i.e. able to make any extremely short kick at a 50% or better rate).
