Prater made a 57 yarder to end the first half, but called back on a holding — which ended the half. Have never seen a hold on a field goal attempt.

Every time I see the Eagles play, they look very average. Except at winning, I guess.
Part of it is that they are a lot worse than last year because of coaching losses and talent losses but their oline is good and that scrum play they do is a huge advantage

Refs just pillaged the Bills there.

Allen gets horsecollared. Pretty blatant. No call. Just an intentional grounding call against the Bills.

Imagine not calling the horse caller and flagging the guy for intentional grounding as a result of it.

I have no idea what this ref is talking about
Other than the missed horsecollar they seemed to get everything right. Allen was not down, it was grounding, it was a possible 10 second run off, Hardo declined to call a time out to preserve the run off, but the Eagles declined the run off.

The horsecollar was a huge miss, but otherwise they seemed to get it right.

Broncos stop the Browns on a pass 50000 yards above the heads of everyone.

Denver puts a Cleveland WR into the hospital, despite the ball going to the moon. It was third down.

You just can't do that.

So does IG not trigger a runoff inside of 2 minutes? The refs explanation was that since it was an incomplete pass, the clock would start on the snap. Aren’t all intentional groundings technically incomplete passes?

But isn’t the rule made to treat it like a sack and not benefit the throwaway?

Right. If it had been a 10 second run off, the clock starts on the ready for play. Because the Eagles declined the run off, it is treated as an incomplete pass/penalty and the clock starts on the snap.

The idea of the 10 second run off is the offense should not get to preserve time by committing a penalty. But, if the defense thinks they will get the ball back and wants to preserve time, they can decline the run off (which I just learned).

Bills D is good but Eagles really struggling. Playing scared with these 3rd down screens getting blown up
