Was 90 seconds late flipping over to the Baylor game.  What a shock, already up 7-0

Villanova fumbles at the Liberty 27-yard line. Flames take over with 10:00 left.

EDIT - The Wildcat D comes up big holding Liberty to a second straight 3-and-out. Nova now back to the Flames 17 with a first down approaching the 3:00 mark after 11 straight running plays pick up 67 yards.

EDIT - Some epic clock-eating by Nova. They get down to the 8 and face 4th & 1 with 2:53 left after Liberty used all 3 timeouts. Yet instead of kicking the lead FG, the go for it -- and make it. Three more running plays later, and they're in the end zone. 29-22, Wildcats.

That's 18 plays -- all runs -- churning 81 yards and taking 7:11. Liberty will have 1:12 to tie or win it.

They get to the Nova 49 but no further as their Hail Mary falls incomplete. The Wildcats avoid the home upset.

Meanwhile, Montana has 21 seconds left in its season trailing Eastern Washington 37-20.

With 7 of the top 8 seeds advancing, next weekend's quarterfinal matchups (times TBA):

#8 Chattanooga at #1 New Hampshire
#5 Illinois State at #4 Eastern Washington
#14 Sam Houston State at #6 Villanova
#7 Coastal Carolina at #2 North Dakota State

Is that fog enveloping the stadium in Charlotte? Or smoke residue from the pointlessly useless and perpetually underwhelming pyrotechnics used way too often during team intros?

This is so much fun to watch right now. Perkins with a great run after the pitch, and he got some superb blocking.

"Good job by Andrews giving just enough contact to keep him out there" ???

Andrews came by ans threw an elbow to the helmet of the tech RB as he was being dragged down.

KSU starting safety Dylan Schellenberg just broke his left leg near the goal line. Air cast, stretcher, etc.

deep inside Guido territory
Another terrible throw by Winston but O'Leary bails him out with a great catch.

Then, GT fucks up the coverage and O'Leary is wide open for a TD. 7-7.  The safety went with the post and nobody went with O'Leary.

That's not a wheel route.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. More like a crossing route, since he worked from inside the post receiver to the outside, and he was well past the LOS when he made his curve toward the sideline.

Baylor dominating K-State.  Tomorrow afternoon is going to be real interesting if FSU wins.
I don't think so. FSU won't be left out and by moving TCU to 3 I think the committee was signaling that they're in.

They average 334 rushing yards/game.  No one is going to stop their running game.  FSU has to outscore them.

Agreed,  and as always with a wishbone team, turnovers are the one thing that can really kill them.

Yeah, it only gets interesting if FSU loses and Ohio St wins--Baylor may jump OSU with the QB situation there.
