I know you take the score but if Henry goes down at the one foot line, it burns 40 seconds and is a first down.
Tough to ask Henry NOT to score there, but diving down after the first down marker would run at least 40 seconds more off the clock. And giving you 4 chances inside the one yard line regardless.

This has been one of my friend’s theories for some years. He likes to list all the overlooked unheralded QBs who have been successful in the nfl.
To the point where he wants a high pick bc it’s a very valuable asset but he’s not sweating the qb thing.
At the end of the day, we forget that these guys are kids when they are drafted. Guys like Trevor Lawrence have been awesome since they were freshmen in high school. A lot of these other guys have played Juco, sat behind a better guy somewhere, and just don't have the reps of a Tua or Lawrence but they may have the smarts, balls, and guts to be NFL QBs. I am sure that what Brady went through at Michigan toughened him up.
Yeah that’s the theory. Good summary. Obviously, there have been recent high picks of QBs who were always great and have found success in the NFL- Lawrence, Burrow, Stroud, Luck, et al. But there are also several picked lowly who fought for everything every step of the way.
