I've seen less than that called an illegal blindside block.. the Chief blocked back towards his own line while Kelce was running by him. (I really can't stand the chiefs and admit it'd be a weak call)

Really glad I'm not a Chargers fan. All ten of them.
Met a guy once who had a ‘Chargers Forever’ tattoo.
San Diego Chargers forever.
tatooed
on his neck.
Huge dude. My farther in law with no fucks to give (an old salty dog down at the marina in San Diego) just looked at him and said ‘hey buddy what’r you gonna do when the Chargers move to LA? (This was a few years ago)
Big angry dude looked like he was about to go ballistic and crush my FiL, but he realized the old dog had some standing.
clenched his fists and just mumbled ‘I’ll just get R.I.P. on top’ and shambled away.

he is not one of your current ten, obviously.

Sure and if they execute their offense they'd be up by 18-20. Just because you fail doesn't mean you didn't make the right choice. The expected points result of going for it on 4th and 1 at the 1 is higher than the expected points of kicking the FG, you should always go for that except at the very end of a game where you are down less than 3.
I'm so fucking sick of hearing about the "analytics" and "right choice" as if it's gospel. That shit is made for marginally smart people to feel confident when they show stupidity.

"O0o0o! The book says 2 points makes sense here!" Really? The book knows the exact strength of each player on the field, the defense you're playing, the schemes you've been running against each other all day?

Just because a play should have worked doesn't make it the right call. Feel free to argue with BB. He's said and proven time and again that turnovers are the biggest key in the game. A team getting turnovers and then gambling on 4th down is the equivalent of splitting on 18 with a dealer showing 7. Take your fucking money and move along.

Or lose. Like they just did.

The Chargers had about a minute left, and 30 or so yards to get a realistic chance of a field goal.

Feel like the Chiefs are a very winnable matchup for the Pats if it gets to it. But fuck if this wasn't an enormous blow for the bye.

If Bill was coaching the Chargers I bet he goes for at least 2 of those (if they even happen) and makes them, because he doesn't get cute, he sees that they can't stop his running game, and he uses that or his big QB to pound the ball in.'

Bil is pretty conservative, he's not that conservative. Coaches who kick FGs inside the 2 are loser coaches who go nowhere, if you can't trust your offense to get 1 yard you might as well pack in the season. The decisions were correct, and what every good coach would/should do (Reid did it too this game, Bill would have on all the 2 yard or less ones) the playcalls were bad and the execution was worse.

Bill (Josh) also wouldn't have called a bootleg on 2nd & Goal from the 2, then ever coach any player to try to reach over the goal line from the 3.

The opening drive bothered me more. Down to the 5 and running right through them ... four passes.
Definitely some bad juju all night. Just can’t give KC that many opportunities. Completely wasted what should have been a game changing play by Nwosu.

I’m fucking sick of ‘I’m fucking sick of’.

Who cares how you feel about it. You just named a non-contextual statistical fact to counter a contextual statistical fact. ‘Skill’ has nothing to do with splitting on 18 in the face of 7, but skill (and other context) has a lot to do with going it on 4th and whatever.

oo000uuuhö really? A blackjack reference? That’s relevant how?

im not even saying the game decisions were correct. But your emotions and blackjack analogies aren’t worth much.

this is what happens when the Patriots have a bye. We see so many things that we just know in our bones that wouldn't happen to the Patriots

Is it contextual?

Explain it to me. Tell me the statistics behind it.

I'll wait.

Was a fun game to watch, mistakes and misjudgments and all. I have a feeling KC is going to come out of it irrationally confident. They are beatable (and should have been tonight for all the reasons discussed), but Mahomes is always going to give them a chance. Maybe good Cincy shows up Jan 2nd and beats them in Cincy.
