Mac would absolutely kill for a "bad" Burrow year, it's not only WAY WAY WAY better than Mac's year:

Someone was comparing Burrow to Mac weeks ago and I finally realized this has nothing to do with the reality of the world I’m living in.
Wait until they see Mac's closest passing production comp through 2 years among "recent" 1st round QBs.... I won't spoil it, but it ain't Joe Burrow.
Mixon was pretty good last year, but he’s gotta be the most overhyped back in the last 5 years of the league. Dude just isn’t good right now.

The Bengals would be just fine at 6-2 if they could have taken care of their awful intradivision foes so far.

67.6%, 3,801 yds, 7.3 y/a, 22 td, 13 int, 92.5 rating
OBVIOUSLY Burrow is better than Mac is now. Not even close.
Also obvious: Burrow has put up a Mac-like game tonight: 15-21, 103 yds, 4.9 y/a, 0 td, 1 int, 4 sacks, 0 points scored
This against a defense that the Pats shredded for 38 points and 399 total yards with a rookie QB at the helm.

They were basically the same QB in most advanced metrics last season.
If you went into the Jones thread and replaced his name with Tua, it’s virtually the exact discussion that was taking place last year on any Dolphins board.
Zappe got criticized for putting up numbers on the two worst defenses in the NFL. One of those defenses has shutout the vaunted Bengals.
Bengals are gonna go to 0-3 in the division and 2-3 in the conference. Not a great trend for tiebreaker purposes.

Ooh Tua is a good one too, it was actually Mitchell Trubisky (though Mitch was arguably a bit better depending on whether you prioritize completion% or TDs).
If the Browns didn’t blow the Jets game and pulled out the Chargers game that was very winnable, they would be 5-3.
