Yeah, I agree with this. I've come to appreciate the college "targeting" rule. It sometimes creates results that seem unfair in individual cases, but that's what you need to do to get those hits of the game -- they are way, way down in college.
But even in college, you need launching, head contact, or helmet lowering. The Floyd hit would be completely legal in college if there was no head contact and if there was head contact on the Floyd play it was pretty minimal. You can certainly imagine that very play where the defender gets blown up and it's completely legal in either league.

This game is revealing a small talent gap and a massive execution gap.
If the Dolphins D wasn't so decimated by injuries this might be true. As it stands with the Miami defensive players on the field, not sure any game plan was going to work. The Steelers talent on offense is miles ahead. Not even close.

Matt Moore looks worse than Cook was yesterday against a less capable defense. And people think Jimmy G is not worth a first round pick.
Exactly, soooo many bad quarterbacks. jimmy will easily fetch a high #1 if they trade him

I know :(

Gonna need Rousey to fight again to get back even.
I actually like your strategy next week for all games not the Pats. You tease them as close to 0 as you can. And give extra points to quality road teams like Seattle, GB/NY, Pitt.

This is the worst thing you have posted in this thread.
The institution, not the golf course. Obviously the course is on par with any of the private clubs on the US Open rotation.

Will someone who knows more than me (low bar there) explain why it seems like Moore is running back a half mile to hand the ball to the back? The running plays are taking sooo long to develop.

Why is Brown fielding punts in a 30-6 game? Get your head out of your ass, Tomlin. (Or at least order him to FC everything.)

I'd argue they go hand and hand.

This Dolphins team has maximized their potential all season in relation to talent.
There were a lot of "Miami sucks" "worst playoff team ever" posts in this thread but they also overachieved despite adverse conditions, which doesn't usually happen in this league.
They won games where 3 starting lineman were out. Games missing 3/4 of their secondary. Losing their starting QB. There was one game without 5 of the starting back 7. There was a weak schedule and some some and mirrors but it's not like other things broke their way...so there's something to say about that.
I feel better after this year than I did in 08'. They've had successes this year that can be built in and do seem sustainable.

If you've got superiority on the line, there's a lot to be said for slow-developing running plays. I'm at a loss as to why the Dolphins are calling those plays.

Yeah, and the QBs that stick the ball way way out all the while getting back to the ball carrier, telegraphing the play to the defense, make me laugh too. Rodgers does it, among others.

Don't like the strategy there. Three DW runs and a punt was what the doctor ordered there.

I can't remember who, but a QB yesterday was doing an Ole move with his hand after handing it off. Letting the D know for sure he didn't have it on a fake. Was pretty funny.

Fuck, hope that's not serious. Maybe just got the wind knocked out of him.

It's more about shortening the game to avoid injuries than preventing a Dolphins' comeback.
Would be nice to have four and a half minutes left now, instead of almost six.
