Dumb because he crushed the one before just foul. And also bad because Maeda hung that breaking ball that Altuve missed two pitches prior.
DDB Jr. notes you usually don't see a guy homer after just missing one which is true, but there it felt almost inevitable.
I wonder if the slick ball affecting sliders factored into the decision there.
Honestly hadnt watched him much, until now. A lot like Pedroia, back when he broke through, but different. Either way he's impressive.

If it’s true that the balls are slick, you’d think that be relatively easy to fix with whatever magic mud they use to prep the balls or even by roughing them up a bit with fine sandpaper.
If your bullpen is this shaky, maybe you shouldn't have taken Charlie Morton out after 75 pitches last night in the 7th.
