Yes. I also think we'll see a seventh game unless Peavy somehow Leskanics it through Tuesday's start.
Such a great verb
Agreed.

He doesn't need to start. He just needs to come in as soon as Hudson gets into trouble. Basically Pedro vs. Cleveland in 1999. I expect similar results given how bad KC has looked against him. They look completely bewildered out there..

Yeah, but Pedro had about a week of rest after torquing his back after 4 innings in game 1.

OK, so what if I leave it in your glove (unconscious fielder)? When does it become a hit? If he awakens and hands it to me...Harry Hooper said:
If the ball rattles out of my glove and you snag it with yours in mid-air, you get credit for a catch (and I don't). If the ball stays in my glove and you take it out of my glove, then it's no catch and the ball is in play.

He expects him to Lonborg it.E5 Yaz said:
Again, he's never pitched in a game on even three days rest. Yet you expect him to be dominant on two days rest?

What should the base runners do?

So, the original point of Blanco flipping the ball from his glove to Panik or Crawford instead of reaching in, grabbing it and throwing it...it's an out because it was a voluntary, conscious action instead of him being knocked out or anything. However, Bruce Bochy or outfielders coach Roberto Kelly, please tell the knucklehead to reach in and throw it from now on.Harry Hooper said:
The game can't wait forever. Presumably the ump on the scene would render a "catch" or "no catch" decision within a limited time.
In any event, it doesn't really matter for baserunners. Many players don't know the rule, but baserunners are free to tag up and start heading for the next base as soon as a ball is touched by a fielder. It doesn't matter how many times the ball is juggled by one or more fielders before finally being secured for a catch. The baserunners can tag up and run at first contact.

In the AL, the Yankees have done it umpteen times, the Athletics twice (once in Philly and once in Oakland), and the Red Sox once.
Going home for Games 6 and 7, even when trailing, has been a recipe for success in the last few decades. Eight of the last 10 times that a team headed home with a 3-2 World Series deficit, it rallied to win the championship.

But seriously, it's a throw day anyway and it's Game 7 of the World Series. You use everybody.
Don't sleep on Lincecum either - Bochy has shown that he isn't afraid to go to him out of the pen if need be as well. Bumgarner is the Giants ace pitcher and the key to their rotation's future at age 25. Bruce Bochy has two rings and never has to buy a meal in San Francisco again, even if the Royals prevail in this series. It would be shocking if he risked a young, star pitcher's health to get a ring that is essentially a nice-to-have, regardless of how many times Bumgarner might ask into a game.Remagellan said:If it goes 7, I doubt Bumgarner pitches unless either Game 6 or Game 7 goes into extra innings. The Giants pen has been effective, and they have an excellent multi-inning option in Petit. If the Giants burned their pen in a long game in Game 6, then I could see him pitching in Game 7, but otherwise, I doubt they'd start him on two days rest or bring him except in the most extreme situation.
I think those statistics are crap. Just because. BOOO.DukeSox said:
