Thats extremely disappointing. I thought with Butch gone he would respond -- and did for awhile -- but this tends to support the "its structural in his psyche" argument and "he's the hockey version of Verdugo". I guess the next step is "trade him at the deadline" talk. Sorry I even mentioned that!

Trying to be optimistic that it's a team rule that if you are late to a game day meeting you sit, regardless of why. Hope it's just a harmless mistake and they move on

Debrusk has still looked engaged in games without a ton of offensive chances, so hopefully this was just a lapse, and he is good to go going forward.

Jumping through the pregame, they talked about Jake and it looks like people were reading too much into it. He missed a meeting, it's the team's rule, no one is above the rules, so he sits. Yeah they could be covering up for the team, but in that regard if there was an actual issue they probably would have made some vague comments about it

I’m liking Beecher quite a bit to start the year. He’s looking a quality bottom six center with a bit of sandpaper to his game. Be really nice if he turned into a long term low key contributor to the team
