Poitras out tonight, planned maintenance. Monty said he was still making lineup decisions but this was how they lined up this morning:

Heinen - Geekie - Pastrnak
Marchand - Coyle - DeBrusk
van Riemsdyk - Frederic - Boqvist
Lauko - Beecher - Steen

Lindholm - Mitchell
Grzelyck - Carlo
Lohrei - Shattenkirk

Ullmark

Between here and everywhere.
The game just started, and Jack already sounds like shit. Unfinished thoughts. A delay in speech. Behind the play.

His deterioration is really concerning.

Absolutely.

I don’t know if you’ve ever met him, but if you haven’t, he’s a really good dude. I’m just hoping it’s a speech issue that he’s working through, and not something more serious.

I’ve not, but I’ve always been a Jack fan.

He’s a homer, but he’s our homer.

It makes me sad.

I’ve actually never been a fan of him cause he has a tendency to over react on some things.

For this reason I tend to watch the other team announcers whenever I can (or when forced due to having to watch a stream)…

And…

His homerism is way blown out of proportion due to how he gets overly excited on some takes but often at moments when things have actually happened.
There are many other announcing teams that are horrible homers to point of never admitting when their team did something wrong.
Jack will actually call out penalties or bad plays far more often than the homerism label would make you think. Especially compared to other announce crews.

edit - they just stay more even keel instead of yelling like Jack does.

It's sad. I can't watch games on NESN with the sound on anymore. It's too distracting and ruins the game for me. Which sucks because it's hard to watch hockey without the announcer to guide you. Don't blame him as obviously there's an issue there but I absolutely blame NESN.

God - the nesn 360 app is horrible. Watching on my roku tv. Every time the game goes to a tv timeout, the app just continues to loop commercials. It never comes back to the game. I literally have to go back to the Roku Home Screen and log back in. I don’t understand how nesn charges people $40
A month for this.

I'm getting the impression that there term "icing" is not in these particular ref's vocabulary as far as it relates to the Bruins

It's up to 40 now? That's crazy. It's really a horrible product. Like all things NESN.

Bad passes, losing board battles, generating no offense. Ullmark keeping them in the game by himself.
