He went on that run after he was out of contention. Rory is an amazing player and I really like him and I'm not calling him out, it just seems like when he is close, the mistakes start.
Okay, then it seems to me you're arguing that he's a choker or the competition is in his head, not the course. -12 is like one of the 15 best Masters scores of all time.

He is 3 shots back on Saturday afternoon. How many mistakes has he made? Sure, he hasn't capitalized when he has had a few opportunities today but, again, the course is playing really difficult.

He is 25 and finished in the top 10 3 times. Let's not anoint him an Augusta choker just yet.

I certainly agree. And it's not like he's been playing lights out golf coming in and somehow falling apart now.

Right and he is one of 5 golfers in the red on Saturday. He is playing pretty well this week.
Sure, but he's a pretty distant second in this two ball. He hasn't won a hole. He hasn't really got going. He's not taken advantage of any errors Spieth has made. And we expect and hope to see these two play together at the sharp end of many majors to come. For me, that's the concern and disappointment today.

After today, Rory now has a career +26 mark for holes 10-12 at the Masters.

DeShambles closes out with a double and 5-over after three rounds.

Also five over on 18 after three rounds

Spieth with some clutch putts in the last few holes. But an awful drive off the tee at 17th - and he gives one back.

And another awful tee shot at the 18th - he could really come back to the pack because of these last two holes.

Today was brutal. Six rounds in the 80's and eleven more at 78 or 79. Four 77's, too. 21 out of 57 golfers were 77 or higher. Wow.

sounds like the wind will be gone tomorrow. it could be interesting if a Justin Rose or somebody in the +2/3 group goes out and posts a low number early.

Before the Masters started I threw 10 bucks on Langer for shits and giggles based on how he has played on the Champions Tour. He went off at 650-1. The fact he is even sniffing the lead is hilarious. I don't think he can win today, on a day where the pins will be accessible, but stranger things have happened. I'm guessing DJ makes a good run today.

Looks like a very easy course out there today based on early scores. I think -7 wins it, maybe -8

Might make sense to hedge that bet a little with Spieth and Johnson if you have a few dollars.
