And on cue, Parsons has already thrown his hat in the ring as a potential Nike partner. http://www.golf.com/equipment/pxgs-bob-parsons-talks-nike-golf-tiger-woods-rory-mcilroy
T9 with 15 other people at -3 after 1 (leader -6).Rob O. tees off hole 10 at 8:50 a.m. In Cromwell on Thursday. I'm too busy to get to the Travelers this year, but hoping some some Soshers do. It would be fun to follow him around for a full round. Hope he tears it up this weekend.
LOLWUT? He's a terrible Ryder Cup player, he's not in the top 20 in Ryder Cup points, and he's not even going to finish in the top 10 in this tournament. One round does not a Ryder Cup player make.Needs to be on the Ryder Cup team now.
Yeah I know. It was a joke, Sparky.LOLWUT? He's a terrible Ryder Cup player, he's not in the top 20 in Ryder Cup points, and he's not even going to finish in the top 10 in this tournament. One round does not a Ryder Cup player make.
Although he's also the most recent 59erGreat for Furyk, I have always been a fan. Wish he could have gotten 57. Definitely not the player you would have expected to annihilate a course like that
Good God no.Needs to be on the Ryder Cup team now.
You can't switch out your ball on the hole you're playing. If you do, it's a penalty. So, for example, if your drive hits a cart path and gets scuffed up, play on with that ball until it's holed.I think you're absolutely right. If Furyk would switch out on a day like today, then it has to be standard operating procedure. I just never knew that.
I think it has to litearlly be unusable, not just scuffed. So if the ball loses its shape or has a cut in it, you can switch it out on the hole. But a scuff isn't enough.I thought you could switch during a hole if the ball is deemed to be "damaged."
Yeah I agree. But They were talking about it on Golf Channel and asked Faldo about him using new clubs and his response (paraphrasing) was "I probably wouldn't advise it if he wants to compete. It's not like there's tour trucks here to tune him up or like picking up a new wedge in the pro shop. There's not even a pro shop here anyway. He's not going to play off the rack and it's like there sporting goods stores here either".Yes, it sucks, but he's going to miss his chance to complete in the Olympics? Settle down, Emiliano. I have a feeling someone (like Callaway) is going to find you some sticks.
Hey man, I'm just relaying what Faldo said. Not saying he's not full of shit.Remember a few years ago when Snedeker basically used some clubs he found lying on the curb, and still beat Thomas Bjorn 5&4?
Oh I know and I agree mostly, but I'm sure he was freaking out all day about it. Combine that with the normal pissed off level of an airline losing your bag and I'll grant him a few tweets while his agent handled calling Callaway. Faldo's comments I'm sure are a bit grandstanding.Ha, I'm not giving you a hard time; I just think Grillo's a bit of a drama queen. Stop tweeting at AA, and call your billion dollar club manufacturer who features you on its website.
Snedeker hasn't been successful on tour? 8 wins and a FedEx Cup--that guy?I hadn't seen that story in Snedeker before, that's pretty cool. Despite his lack of success on tour he seems like a freak. I remember a few years ago watching the GC coverage of a practice round at Sawgrass and he and Bubba played each other's clubs on the island hole. Brandt stuck it within twenty feet swinging lefty, bubba put it in the water. Which made me laugh because I hate bubba.
I should have added 'relatively'. Mea culpa. He's certainly successful in the big picture.Snedeker hasn't been successful on tour? 8 wins and a FedEx Cup--that guy?
Well, pretty much except for the fact you need 15 wins or 2 majors (or Players), and he has 8 and none. You realize that 10 wins and a major is pretty much a hall of fame career right? He's basically on Mark O'Meara's career trajectory.
Ten wins and one major is not borderline, it's ineligible. They changed the rules just a couple of years ago because of the Couples (and Monty) debacles.I just looked it up, you're right.
I think the 2 majors gets you in - there are players in the HOF with 8 wins and 2 majors. 10 wins and 1 major is borderlilne.
