It works that way at UConn, not at Texas or USC.Even if Texas loses they won tonight
He sure is.if USC wins that frosh K is gettin' LAID TONIGHT
Oh hey, there you are. I thought you'd gone away when you were proven to be completely clueless. That was a fun time.Well, congratulations on that win then.
In another, more accurate way, USC is the winner.
Unless Texas has the greatest defensive line in history, USC doesn't have the o-line to win a championship.Only 3/4ths of a stomach punch on that one as a Texas fan. I liked the grit from Herman's team. Certainly wouldn't bet on USC in the playoff unless they dominate out or something.
Which is funny, considering the guy you said was completely in the bag for Texas parroted the USC OC's line in the pregame that all five of their linemen are destined for the NFL.Unless Texas has the greatest defensive line in history, USC doesn't have the o-line to win a championship.
Clemson has answered some questions early in the season. Defense is better. Offense isn't turning it over which is making for a cleaner game. They have talent everywhere, as good as Ben was at LB last year, he couldn't cover and was a liability on the field in passing situations. So the replacements are actually more athletic than some of the guys that moved on. They need experience, but now they've cleared two early hurdles, they get some games to really get better. They look like a solid CFP team.Lamar JAckson's chance of repeating as Heisman ended tonight. As did Lousiville's chance at the playoff. ACC is a one-team at most in playoff conference, it seems. even if clemson loses once from here I think they will get in.
Alabama - lock even with loss and not losing to dreg in SEC
Clemson - lock with a loss
Oklahoma - win over OSU gets them in even with loss
Big10 team/OSU/USC
It's way too early for these kinds of end-of-season pronouncements. Teams have played two or three games and very few conference games. OSU lost to a bad VT team early and won the NT. Jackson had subpar games last year and won. He could have 9 great games and 2 bad ones and win again. He could also blow his knee; injuries could knock teams out of the running. For the Heisman, there also has to be someone else on the radar.Lamar JAckson's chance of repeating as Heisman ended tonight. As did Lousiville's chance at the playoff. I'd tend to agree with you except in this case with Lamar. The way he finished the year and the bowl game created a bunch of talk about amending the voting process. No one believes he wins last year if they vote on Jan 10th. If they play the season in reverse order, he may not have been in top 2. He was out of the discussion 3 weeks ago. Showed up the last 2 weeks and sparked talk of "he's actually better this year". That ended last night. He just reminded everyone why he was off the radar at the start of the season. He's not going to recover from it mainly because a large number of his voters last year would like to change that vote, let alone vote for him again. It's way too early for these kinds of end-of-season pronouncements. Saban had it right a few weeks back when he said (paraphrasing) "everyone makes all these predictions, why do we even need to play?"
