I don't understand why the Jets added a 6th? Bridgewater is a free agent at the end of this year. The Saints can keep him, or they let him walk. If he walks, other teams may have enough interest where they get a 3rd or 4th round comp pick.I dunno, a third round pick (basically) for a guy coming off a massive knee injury seems a bit much.
The Saints have now traded their 2019 1st and 3rd round picks. The 3rd in this deal, and the 1st to move up from 27th to 14th with Green Bay to select Marcus Davenport.
Edit: I think the Jets could have waited longer to see if there were QB injuries and get the 2nd back they used in order to draft Darnold. Throwing in a 6th to get a 3rd is a pretty good return since they're sold on Darnold starting the opener.
