There is 100% chance it’ll be aired live. Almost nobody would PPV a recorded golf match.
Cool. I would. I’d rather not watch them walk to their ball or see a commercial every two minutes. I’m pretty sure I’m not alone there. Edit it down to two hours and charge $20, I’m pretty sure people would pay for it. Ymmv.

im a little late to the game and i may have missed it, but why are they starting on hole 9?
Due to logistics of the 10th tee apparently. Made it difficult/impossible to have people start a round there for some reason, likely to do with handling the crowd and announcing the players.

An undercard would really make this better (coming from someone who will absolutely pay, and be excited for, just Tiger v Phil). But to fill the dead time, some other matchups would be amazing. Especially if they all had some of their own $ on the line.

Spieth vs JT (just because)
Reed vs Rory (Ryder Cup entry)
Day vs Scott (Aussie battle)
Sergio vs Rahm (Spanish War)
Monty vs Couples (Throwback match)

Andy Brickley's potty mouth
They are tearing it up. My best score from the tips is 74.

Edit: not sure if you saw Langer hole out from the fairway on 11, but that's a stupid hard lie. The cameras don't do it justice, it's a downhill sidehill lie from 200 yards and he made it look so easy.

I had to chuckle at your description. Made me think of my dad. He always used to use ‘it’s an uphill, downhill, sidehill lie! What do do expect me to do with it!?’ Which when you think about it, is true of any ball on a slope, pending how you look at it.

DeChambeau wins in a snoozer. Finau, 2nd. Tiger, Phil, Bryson, Finau should be the 4 Ryder Cup captain’s picks. Kuchar can come along to replace Tiger as a Vice Captain.

I totally agree that those should be the 4. Too bad for Snedeker that he had to withdraw this week, because another really good showing would have probably kept him in the conversation. But Finau is a birdie machine, and that is well suited to Ryder Cup play.

Yep, that about sums it up for me. Schauffele and Kiz just miss out.

The Tour seems to be tinkering with the format of the FedEx Cup, specifically the Tour Championship. The AP is reporting that the Tour’s newest idea is to stagger the scores to start the Tour Championship, and it’ll be winner take all (supposedly more than $10 mill too). So whoever enters the TC as #1 in FedEx points begins the tournament at -10, and then the rest of the field will be staggered in some fashion behind that.

Tiger back to an Anser 2 style but with the TM insert. Custom made by TM--it is not the retail Juno head shape.

I thought he was rolling the ball great with the Ardmore... he seems to blame mis-reads on his putter.

Well that wraps up Bryson’s Rder Cup spot. Hell of a run he’s on now.
