The reason he's such a stud every year is because they don't run him into the ground.
I guess it's somewhat mollifying that other teams get their asses handed to them in the first quarter too.
A team just can’t pay a guy like that if they have any reservations about him. Teams should be drafting QBs every year and be prepared to swap them out. Unless you have a no-brainer top guy. Jones has never been that guy.
Well the Giants - a team that won a playoff game last year - are looking WAY worse than the Pats right now.
You have discovered the problem as to why he sucks. He is carrying 400 million dimes on his back. He needs a caddie.
Imagine paying Daniel Jones, and this what he gives you. The Giants are not sneaking up on anyone this year.
Wonder if we start seeing more teams using the franchise tag on young QB’s they are not quite certain on. Unless that’s unworkable within the cap for most teams, not my specialty.

DC did that with Kirk Cousins, but there is always the possibility the QB gives management the finger and holds out until he is traded.
I think that would throw lots of teams’ cap situations out of whack. If he’s a 1st rounder, you get the 5th year option. If you’re uncertain after that, he’s not the answer.
If he’s a later round pick, you get 4 years at a really low number. Adding a franchise tag QB when you’ve been doing standard cap maneuvering via extensions and restructuring with the rest of your roster would be difficult to say the least.
It’s going to be meltdown city tomorrow here in NY/NJ. The Giants just don’t look like they’re building anything.
The team was fortunate to make the playoffs last year and ironically it may have been a bad thing for their franchise longer term. Daniel Jones prob doesn’t get an extension without the great playoff game he played against the Vikings.
He’s a very polarizing player here. Some Giants fans make claims like the radio host did and say he’s top 10 or close to it. Others, don’t trust him at all. Just don’t see how you win with a QB like him.
Aside from the joy of watching big blue get hammered it's fun to watch defense dominate offense. Just doesn't happen often anymore.
I think he’s a decent QB but also agree you can’t really win with him. You’d need everything to go right and paying him 40 bones a year makes it a lot harder for “every thinking to go right”…not as much room to sign talent around him.
