Make this one up in late Sept if necessary.
Or don't. On the 45th anniversary of 1978, the Sox and the MFY play 161 game seasons instead of 163. Kinda cool if you think about it.

Thursday looks fine

Tomorrow looks much better (than today) maybe something at the very end of the night

Wednesday is a little better than today but yeah you’re right they may need to move that one to Thursday

They really should move tonight to tomorrow afternoon
And then Wednesday to Thursday afternoon
1 down, 1 to go

For us out of towners (west of Worcester) the early game may or may not be on MLBN. My DirectTV guide says no, MLB.com may be saying yes. Second game is on TBS.

Interesting that the battle for 4th place (in-division) would be of interest to national tv.

I'm guessing that the early game is an opportunity to provide unscheduled live baseball on a Tuesday afternoon in place of some of the tired programming that probably isn't generating a whole lot of viewers at his point of the season. The latter was perhaps scheduled because everyone seems to want in on Sox vs Yanks.

I'm leaving this thread in your collective hands as I head out for my afternoon shift. I'll be checking in periodically to see if it will be necessary for me to start the Game 2 thread. Hopefully when I get out of work at 10:30 there will be a need for me to start a thread for tomorrow.

Go Baby BoSox!!!

mlbn just did a very positive feature on Pivetta, saying how he transcended the starter/reliever roles, and was very valuable to the Sox.
Then the first words out of OB's mouth were "most people probably haven't noticed how valuable Pivetta has been this year."
Anyway, hope mlbn didn't jinx him.

Who's the 27th man today? I'm surprised they didn't call up a bulk guy to help fill a rotation spot and push Pivetta to Wednesday.

Pivetta is probably gonna end up giving up a three run homer in a inning or two, but man is he fun to watch when he's going good

Didn't he realize he had nine strikeouts.

Pivetta's stuff and location are both very strong today. His slider has improved a lot since May.
