Guys — the offside personal foul was a great play. The extra yardage was irrelevant. Chiefs made it irrelevant by picking up the third and ten but it was a smart play.

These last six years for KC (2018-2023) is as good as any 6-year period the Pats had, presuming they win the Super Bowl. If they don't, it's still NE, but not by much.

The NFL would gain some level of excitement by changing the two minute warning into the three or four minute warning.

When a team has first down and the other team is out of TO’s, two minutes of clock become a formality to ending the game. When it’s only a one-score game, it takes all excitement out of the game post-warning.

Here
I cannot recall worse, uncharacteristic playcalling in a big game than this. It was like when the Pats punted the game in Miami with home field on the line in 2015.

I think that's right but they would have another 10 years to go to match which I don't think is happening. But who knows.

BAL just shat down their collective leg in this game. 3 points in the last 3 quarters. Wow.

I think you mean there should be a 1 minute warning to stop the clock.

KC
2018 - AFCCG loss
2019 - SB win
2020 - SB loss
2021 - AFCCG loss
2022 - SB win
2023 - SB

All six seasons in the AFCCG or better. Four trips to the SB. Two SB wins, with one to go.

Is Lamar on a one year deal or was that another year?
No, he got his money. Signed for at least 3 more years, and potentially through 2029.

Whoever said this KC team looks like the 2018 Pats was spot on. Their defense was incredible, they let the other team making repeated horrible mistakes, and the offense did just enough.

Mahomes is so goddamn good. Unlike Lamar, his game just gets better when the lights are bright. Total rockstar

Odds aren't good that Mahomes ultimately wins as much as Brady - either SB titles or total wins - but that's because Brady played til he was 45. Not likely that Mahomes will do that because nobody but Brady does that. But man, Mahomes is unbelievable and is stacking up one unbelievable hell of a resume.

If Lamar could play in a dome in the playoffs, it'd be a completely different scenario.

The weather wasn't even terrible today, but this is why I wouldn't give him 250mil to play in Foxboro in January.

I think it would work either way. At 1 min, or at 3 or 4 min.

At two min you have exactly enough time for three knee downs. Kills all the excitement of a 1-score game and I bet a lot of people just tune out at the two-min mark when the other team is out of timeouts.
