No, he got his money. Signed for at least 3 more years, and potentially through 2029.

Whoever said this KC team looks like the 2018 Pats was spot on. Their defense was incredible, they let the other team making repeated horrible mistakes, and the offense did just enough.
That was me. And as much as I want to hate them, I have to appreciate what they’ve accomplished.

KC
2018 - AFCCG loss
2019 - SB win
2020 - SB loss
2021 - AFCCG loss
2022 - SB win
2023 - SB

All six seasons in the AFCCG or better. Four trips to the SB. Two SB wins, with one to go.
Well no wonder I’m fucking sick of the Chefs.
well, that and all the goddam State Farm commercials

These last six years for KC (2018-2023) is as good as any 6-year period the Pats had, presuming they win the Super Bowl. If they don't, it's still NE, but not by much.
It’s crazy, if they win in a couple of weeks, it’s literally the same run that the 2014-2018 Patriots had.

Patriots fans can always hang their hats on the head to head win in the AFC Championship game in 2018 though.

Lamar has sucked so bad today

It sucks, but I'm with you. Pretty much all the potential fun of this evening is gone now.
Yeah I’m super bummed bc I so want to root for the lions but wonder if 9ers have better shot to beat the chiefs

ugh

If he was even decent this probably goes to OT. If he was good, ravens win in regulation. Instead he was ass awful….and they lose by 7

Brady singlehandedly kept his legacy intact by beating Mahomes in the playoffs in 2018 and 2020. If TB12 doesn't win those games, Mahomes has 4 SB titles and a chance at a 5th instead of a third.

What’s your point?
I just hope that everyone who hated the Pats for being there every season now hates the Chefs as much

So Todd Monken had a really good season but.....

The Ravens were never down more than 10 points in this game.
The Ravens had the best rushing offense in the league.
The Ravens RBs combined for 6 carries in this game, while Lamar dropped back over 40 times.

That's as epic a playcaller chokejob as we've seen.

As bad as Lamar, and the offensive game plan, was, the crushing blow was the Flowers fumble

I was saying the other day, boxing fans never got to see Ali fight Tyson. Those two games might go down as the QB equivalent.

I'm all in on Detroit. SF has plenty of SB's. Can Detroit beat KC? Probably not, but their crazy ass coach might just be crazy enough.
Goff is better than Purdy too imho but 49ers have better weapons slightly and defense by far.
can’t have SF win 6 but kinda worried Chiefs maybget 8
I have faith in Lions

The Chiefs are one win away from ticking all the boxes to be a dynasty.
They're already a dynasty. Matching the Pats 2013-2018 run would be incredible, but it can't be said often enough that this is just Mahomes' 6th season as a starter. Multiple MVPs, multiple super bowl wins, and through to the AFC title game every single season. At this point the only thing that the start of Brady's career has that Mahomes' doesn't is a true rival in the vein of Peyton Manning. Mahomes stands alone in today's NFL, with no one within shouting distance. Allen matches the hype, but is too inconsistent. Jackson matches the MVPs, but is yet to show a pulse in the playoffs. Burrow has the one non-Brady playoff win against Mahomes, but until he passes Mac Jones in pro bowl appearances, he's not in the discussion.

I'm trying to appreciate what we're watching, even knowing the growing chance that this diminishes Brady's legacy.

Purdy had the highest yards per attempt this season in the history of the NFL.

Goff isn't better than Purdy. Goff was fine at home the last two weeks. He's going to be awful today. SF in a blowout.

They really need to win the SB to be a dynasty. No two championship team has been called a dynasty. The only one close is the Packers, but they won NFL championships before the two Super Bowls.

I know that no one uses the term this way in sports, but in my book, there's only one true dynasty in NFL history, and that's the 1981-1994 49ers. Each championship team had members from the previous team, but the 1981 and 1994 teams shared none of the same coaches or players. That's what makes it a true dynasty: power was successfully handed down to the next "generation."
