Let's discuss all of the Eastern conference games in here. If volume gets to be a lot, we can split into separate threads.

Tonight's schedule:

Montreal @ Tampa-7:00 on CNBC
Columbus @ Pittsburgh- 7:30 NBCSN

Can't freaking wait for playoff hockey.

While my Bruins-centric interest says I will be paying more attention to Montreal-Tampa, my hockey curiousness will be with the Pitt-Columbus game. I think the BJ's can give them a run, despite going 0-5 on the season against them.

Of course they can - the Penguins are still putting Rob Scuderi and Brooks Orpik out there, still icing the worst bottom six of any of the playoff contenders, and still counting on a goalie who hasn't had a .900 save percentage in the playoffs since 08-09.

edit - And noted failure Dan Bylsma is still the head coach.

I actually think Pitt will slide right by the BJs. Despite Columbus basically owning the Flyers outside of one ridiculous Flyers comeback I'm just not that impressed. They're a nice little team, they work hard, they grind...but in the playoffs everybody works hard. Also I think the Pens will find ways to beat Bobrovsky.

Also, no Steve Mason tomorrow night. Even when the Flyers go 4-1 against those (expletive-deleteds) they still find a way to screw us. At least we have Ray Emery to save us from the dark days of Michael F. Leighton.

Pretty sure Leighton was the goalie in the 2010 Philly comeback against the Bruins. I try to block as much of that out as I can, but that one fact won't ever leave me. Fucking Michael Leighton.

It's ironic that two guys from the caps are in a fear of missing out on hockey commercial, since they are in fact, missing out on hockey.

Columbus executing the Bruin blueprint (albeit a homeless man's version of it w/o your studs) - force the Penguins wide, keep everything on the perimeter, pack the space in front of the goalie.

From the Department of Useless Stats that are Still Fun: The Penguins have now gone 13 straight playoff periods without having a lead.

Wow the goal song in Pittsburgh is Rock & Roll Part 2? Don't they know he's a pederast, Dude?
Many of the same people willfully cheer for Roethlisberger so I'm not sure sexual deviancy really matters to many of the Pittsburgh area.

Tampa/Montreal getting a little fiesty. Lot's of scrums.

I love this time of year.

Edit: Great pace and physicality to this game. They're working up a hatred for each other.

And then Emelin with a shot that hits Gallagher, his teammate, in the throat. Looked bad full speed, looked worse on replay. Right in the windpipe.

So under the new playoff format, if the Bruins win, they get the winner of Montreal/Tampa and if the Penguins win, they get the winner of Philly/New York, correct?

Wow, how was that not a hook?
i didn't see too much there. He stuck his stick in but not too much contact with it from the look on the replay

I guess I've seen less called though

Lars Eller and Alex Killorn trade goals, it's 3-3 with about 12 minutes left in the 3rd down in Tampa. Shots are 29-12 in favor of Montreal, however.

It's funny, the Tampa play by play guy was on T&R this morning and they were talkin about how it'd probably be the least physical series and would they be able to develop a hatred for each other and all that stuff.
Looks like it.
